3rd POV
One of the things you dread about school was the introductions. You swore that your luck was trash. It was like the same cycle repeating itself. Start a new school, get away with driving offence, relocate to a new state or city and turn up to a new school mid-semester.

You stood in front of your new class after missing the first train, relying on Google maps and asking people in broken Japanese. Your classmates kept whispering about you. You couldn't exactly blame since it was rare for an American girl to transfer mid semester.

"Introduce yourself," the teacher next to you cleared his throat.
"I'm Y/N L/N O'Connor," you said in broken Japanese, the feeling of awkwardness filled the room as you stood there still like a twig.

"Anything else?" The teacher glanced at you. He kept tapping his foot against the clean floors. He wanted more of an introduction.

"I've transferred from San Francisco," you add. You wished this day would go faster
"Nothing else?" You turn your head to the teacher who was sweat dropping.
"Is it that bad?" You asked, unsure if you left a bad impression.

"No um Miss O'Connor or L/N please take a seat at the back," the teacher points to the wooden desk closest to the window.

"Y/N is fine. Please drop the honorifics," you walk over to the desk taking a seat.
"Y/N please don't tie your hair up. It's against school rules," he adds. You previously tied up your hair to hide the damaged bits. And you ended up forgetting that boys in Japan have an interesting attraction to necks. You slowly pull your hair tie releasing your hair. Letting it cover your neck.

"Moving on, turn to page 69." Some of the students giggled as they turned to the page. You couldn't help rolling your eyes. This was going to be one long day.
