Time ticks by a mile without reminding us of how far we have come or how long we're going to stay, dates try to remind us with seasons yet we fail to take caution...sometimes it takes a great loss or casualty to keep us in check. Heavy storms were lurking in the shadows, yet everyone got carried away with the rosy moment...~marimad

Ray's POV

Time flies quickly, we could say the days were crawling with songs of Eid everywhere. Ramadan went by so fast, probably the fasted I have seen. Even though it short lived, It brought back so much memories. Had my dad been alive, he'd gladly take me to the countryside for Itiqaf, oh I miss the cold breeze at the little Island and its generous inhabitants ....oh the bonfires after Taraweeh....i guess it is true when they say time flies by quickly and the only thing that makes our lives worthwhile is the memories we share with the ones dear to our hearts. Oh memories! I just hope memories do not become the reason we would want to take our own lives...I just hope so.

Surprisingly, Ramadan here was unique in its own way, we had a blast during iftaar. I must say that we're all going to miss the daily lectures. Tonight might be our last tahajjud for Ramadan or we'll wake up with resounding Eid Zikr. Fingers crossed, we're gonna decorate regardless. Our meeting with Sayyida kifaya is in fifteen minutes and I ought to get going before I make everyone late again. Summy will kill me with her dagger filled glares...it's still ramadan, I could beg her but I do not want to make this a habit so let's get ready.

Nazeeha: it's great you had a long break, imagine if school was still in session, we would have had sleepless nights wandering how ramadan would have been for you out there

Mamruks: so true, and I am glad I am off work until Eid is over, I get to spend time with you all this time. I am glad you're  here too ...

Suabir: and I am glad I have until the month end to leave. It's almost time for iftaar, I hope we get to eat scotched eggs today

Of course! The women replied in unison.

I don't see latifa anywhere... Malik, where might she be ...

She's still obsessed with the Barbie coloring book I guess...oh girls ...

Shuuush and help me wash the fruits, I can barely wait for iftaar

Ouuuu someone is famished!

Suabir glares at him... you know we take turns in this game, tomorrow might be your turn too

Oh no, hopefully, it's Eid and no one can tease me !
Besides, our mothers managed to put up a spectacular decor...I guess latifa learnt pretty well too, her ribbons ain't looking weird no more.

Appreciate her for her efforts ...don't be a party pooper! She did her best and you have to give her a thumbs up.

Latifa glares at Malik from behind...

Suabir sees this and chuckles, I guess you have to run for your life now or you won't survive this glare ...he winks at him ...

Malik raises his hands in surrender, queen latifa! You know you're the best sister in the world and I won't trade you for anything, not even soccer, I promise ...

I don't care what you say, I'll still hit you with this ladle ! She exclaimed....

Suabir shakes his head at the cat and mouse in the living space, I guess these two will never change...

Hayat: Manal, thank you for making my ramadan worthwhile...from making sahoor to joining me at the masjid during your lunch breaks and having hearty conversations during iftaar. I never really felt left out considering the fact that I have been away from home for so long. Jazakillahu khairan  and Eid Mubarak to you, I heard the ustaaz say we pray at eight am tomorrow.
Manal : Amiiin to all your kind prayers, Eid Mubarak to you too, may Allah accept it from me and from you .
Hayat: Amiin, take these corporate cards with you, just incase you have a handful of admirers at the masjid tomorrow. Hayat creations cannot wait to style them all.
