The boy could see the sun slowly disappear behind the rooftops. Here he stood in front of a blue door. The door stood in between two pillars with a triangular roof on top, which kind of reminded him of the Romans. The pillars were decorated with all kinds of ornaments. Above the door and underneath the roof was a semi circle of stained glass, made to look like a spiderweb. To reach the door you had to climb three steps. The door had something entrancing, something mystical, something nostalgic, something luring the boy closer and closer.

Slowly ascending the steps, getting closer to the door, the boy's heart started to beat louder and louder. Cold sweat dripped from his head. Now standing in the front of the door the boy could feel a cold energy radiating from it. But this did not withhold him from reaching for the doorknob. The moment he touched the knob he flinched and pulled back his hand. It was ice cold. His hand was trembling as he reached for the knob again. He quickly pushed open the door and jumped inside.

Bright light blinded his eyes. He made sure to quickly close his eyes and cover them with his hands. As he knew, if he did not, he would never see the daylight again. He stood there frozen for about a minute. His heart was beating in his throat, but not from fear. He was filled to the brim with excitement. He could feel the energy pulse throughout his body and slowly dared to open his eyes. The light still stinged, but the intensity had lowered a lot. It was now more like looking at a campfire.

He was met with the most beautiful winter landscape he had ever seen, pristine and cold. The snow was covered with gorgeous shapes of ice, reminding him of flowers. Oddly though he didn't feel cold at all. As he walked further he was met with a chilly but comfortable wind. Relaxing him, like the air conditioning does on a exhaustingly hot day. In the distance he could see a creature. The creature was so adorable, you could say its cuteness was unparalleled. Being a mix of a human, sheep and spider, it had big round eyes and hair so soft and so white. Like what you would expect clouds to feel like if they were tangible. It was wearing a robe made out of silk with stunning weblike patterns on it.

The boy could see it open its arms. He sped up, running closer and closer. His breath ragged and his face flushed, he fell into the embrace. Overwhelmed by the softness and coziness of the hair, the warmness of the embrace and the assurance it gave him. Tears dripped from his eyes and he slowly started sobbing. He had found his long lost friend.
