When the fireworks Begin: Janette & Adrian

Adrian watched the boy stand at the window waiting for his mother to come.  It hurt him. Audrey went to him and sat with him.
"La' Quan do you wanna watch TV?" Audrey asked and he looked at her and he twitched looking at the window  . "Maybe by the time the micie ends she'll be back. " Audrey bribed and listened.  They sat at the TV.  Adrian saw them bonding pointing at their favorite characters and laughing at the funny jokes on the show.  He forgot about the window . He went to the bathroom and he saw the Bible.  He thought it was a beautiful book. He grabbed it and he hid it remembering what his father did with the last one he found.  Adrian saw him hiding it under the couch.

La'Quan started a tantrum breaking things. Adrian ran into the living room.
"What's wrong?"
"You're evil just like my...dad...you throw the pretty book away!" La'quan  shouted at Adrian making Janette sad. Adrian went and opened the drawer and handed him the Bible.  He hugged it and he went back to his room. Janette saw Adrian shake his head.
"What kind of man throws the Bible away?" Adrian asked confused.  Audrey came in with Laquan holding her hand. 
"He's got something he wants to say." Audrey said.
"I'm sorry I will help clean if ya want ir I will skip dinner. " he said and Adrian went him and knelt to him.
"Son I'd never do that to you. You are important to me. I understand you wanted the Bible and when I was your age my father gave me my own Bible. Even Audrey asked for one."
"Mines is pink!" Audrey chimed very proud.
"Was that one yours?" He asked Adrian.
"It was . But I'll give it to you."
"No. It means I stole it. I'm not no stealer. " la'quan said and he went to the bedroom and brought back the Bible. "Here. I took good care of it too ." He said and Adrian went outside and grabbed the Bible his father Gave him . He came back in with it.
"Oh Adrian you love that so much ." Janette  interrupted knowing he valued that Bible. When they got engaged he rested his hand on it promising her things.  He'd save money in it. He also had pictures of Audrey in it. The Bible was sacred to him.
"I'm just showing him gorgeous. "
"I thought her name was Janette?"
"No daddy calls her that as a nickname. "
"What's his nickname?"
"Baby Love." Janette answered and the 4 year old thought about it and just shrugged. 
"This is my bible." Adrian told him. And he showed him the monumental stories that he had with this Bible. La'quan understood every word and he wanted to make his like Adrian's.
"Can I do mines like that?"
"Sure.  Wanna see something cool."
"Yeah!" He screamed excited.  Adrian pretended to hide it from Janette who was curious.  Audrey wanted to see.
"Can I see."
"Should we let them see quan?"
"Yeah they're family nobody else though. " he decided.  They all looked at 4 year old Adrian's picture of the Bible in his hand with his father holding his personal Bible in his hand beside him.
"Can we take one like that?"
"Why not." Adrian shrugged.  Janette started to see similarities in these two. He stood and La'Quan directed how they should pose. Adrian followed instructions and Janette took the picture.  She had tears. She was so happy. The girls stood with them with their bibles and it was a wonderful family photo with happy standing on her two feet in the picture.

La'Quan  stood watching Audrey leave for school and he wanted her to hurry back. His mother created separation anxiety for him Adrian had to go to work. He started to cry when he turned the doorknob to leave.
"You're leaving too!"
"I'll be back at 6:00 son I promise ."
"ON God?"
"Yes I promise on God." Adrian said and La'Quan ran t0 him and gave him a big hug.  Adrian hugged him tightly.
"Love you son."
"Y-you do?"
"Yes I do. Very very much." Adrian said with a smile his tears fell but he wiped them before the boy could see it.
"I love you too dad!" He said and Janette started to sob.
"Oh Stooooop! You two look so cute!" Janette cried and the boys hugged the crying Dominican. "I love you guys so much. My two favorite males in the world. Don't tell papi I said that."
"Whose that?"
"He's coming over today with your daddy's dad. You'll meet them. " Janette said excited.
"Okay you two thanks for rubbing it in. You'll be having fun and I'll be working!" Adrian groaned.
"Poor man. Go make money so you can take a vacation then."
"Yes ma'am. " Adrian obeyed leaving now.
