Chapter 4: Trio together

Mictlan didn't like that answer, he wanted a proper positive answer not some poorly accurate guess. Ike could feel such tension from the two as they continued the glare at each other, if they all wanted to get out of here they either needed to team up or fight against each other for only one of them to escape this island of death and chaos.
"Wait, if we all are trying to get out of here, why don't we team up temporarily until we fix the portal?" Ike suggested making the two large beings look over at him in confusion, he wasn't sure if this would work but he'd have to try. Soar wasn't sure where he was getting at with them teaming up but if it involved his dense antics she wanted nothing to do with it especially if the former warlord decided to tag along with them, which seemed like a low probability. He was a warlord and he needed someone to control and boss around but on the other hand he could kill both of them and take it all for himself "why would I team up with you two? I have all the power here and you two have nothing but a blue piece of paper and some ruins" he hissed, Soar wasn't in the mood to beat the living gold out of him but even if he did have all the power she would've guessed he would've made the portal himself if he was that powerful and made his own army from the bones of the dead demons below the surface of the ground. "Even if you were that powerful you wouldn't even need Ike to build the portal out of here, so what's it going to be? Be on your own with no one to control or team up with us and get off this continent faster?" Soar bellowed getting face to face with the warlord. He wasn't going to let some angel give him options or commands! He was the one who was supposed to be in charge not that dumb white feathered angel, he split his face in half revealing both sides of his head making Ike jump back in surprise as he hissed at her and she returned it also splitting her mask in half revealing several rows of small teeth that looked completely sharpened and ready to bite through flesh. He was even more interested than before now that he knew he wasn't the only one with the same face trick, but somehow he felt odd about it, a feeling he couldn't recognize, his face than became one again and so did hers as he only sighed in defeat. "Alright I'll join your stupid group, but only to get out of here and that's final!"
