In Too Deep

The beginning

It had started out as the hottest day we've experienced all summer long, so me and a few of my friends decided we should go on an adventure deep into the woods. I was packing a bag with everything that we may need on our little adventure "Sapphire, are you almost ready to go!" I heard my name be called from downstairs. "Ya, just give me a second and i'll be down in a few" I yelled back down to my friends.

I grabbed the last few things that I would need from my room then walked downstairs to see Jacob, Damian, Liam, Lily, and Emily all sitting on the couch waiting for me. "Finally you're done up their" Liam said, annoyed still looking at the TV. I ignored what he said and walked over to the fridge putting some water bottles in my bag and grabbing a few snacks as well. "So when are we gonna leave?" I looked at the group as I asked the question. "After we finish this movie," Emily replied to me, not looking away from the TV.

"Of course you would not wanna leave just yet" Diaman glared at Emily "Don't forget she's crazy for movies Damian" Lily said looking at him, I just chuckled at their bicking. I grab some food out of the fridge to make some breakfast for everyone, so we have enough energy to get through the day. "What movie are you guys watching?" I asked as I finished getting the ingredients out ready to make breakfast burritos. "We are watching a horror movie at the moment Sapphire, why don't you join us after you're done making breakfast.

After about 14 min I finally finished cooking the food and started to put all the ingredients together making them look absolutely delicious and amazing with the burrito also being a golden brown. I walked over to the others and gave them each a breakfast burrito sitting down on the couch. After a while of watching the movie the doorbell ring so I get up and go to answer the door.

"Hello?" I asked to open the door, I looked around and saw nothing so I was about to leave then the door I caught against something. I look down to see a box and letter on top addressed to me. I picked it up and looked around confused, the mailman had already been here today and I wasn't expecting any packages or letters....

I walked back into the house setting the package down on the counter. I started to text my parents after to ask if they had ordered anything at all. My friends paused the movie and walked over to see what might be in the box and letter. I didn't let them open either of them till my parents responded back to me though.

I looked down at the box then the letter.. I had picked up the letter before my friends could open it. I look at the envelope it came in to see if there was a name on it of who it's from, but find nothing. I slowly tear the envelope open and take out the letter from inside and flower petals fall out of it. I look at what's written inside.

Hello My Darling Gem, How are you doing today? I just wanted to tell you I miss you soooo much ♥ ️.. You have no idea how much I wish you were mine, all mine... only MINE and once you are, things will be so much better. Those boys of yours .. Should keep their distance from you, if they know what's good for them.

I reread the letter over and over again, my heart beating out of my chest as I try to figure out who and where it came from. I look over at the box and check for a name or return address but find nothing. "Sapphire, what did the note say? Why do you look so panicked" Lily asked, looking at me. I hand them the letter allowing them to read it while I continue to look for a return address on the box. They looked surprised and disgusted by the letter that I had gotten.

I stop and set the box back down and slowly open it to see what's inside. Once I open it I see a heart shaped box with a rose on top and a note that says to open it. I reach inside the box and pull out the heart, it is a soft fabric that's a deep red in color. I flip the latch and slowly pry it open, inside there is a beautiful deep blue sapphire necklace shaped like an actual human heart, a golden wire wrapped around it. placed neatly on top of a cushion type material.

I take the necklace out of the heart shaped box and place it around my neck . "That's a pretty necklace" Emily states while looking at me. "It was in the package.. I'm guessing it was from the mystery guy." Jacob adds glaring at the note. I take the note looking it over again.. 'Why are some things written in red' I thought to myself as I think about everything thats been written

'What does it mean by "Boys of yours" and about me being his?' I kept trying to decipher what the letter meant and how he knew my name. "This is too much to deal with right now... ima go take a nap." I said looking up at the others "That's fine we'll just go into town tomorrow to buy a few things then go hiking so we can get everything off of our minds." Liam spoke up.
