Ch.1 Today Was Strange

A\/n: first real part! Let's see where Sebastian ends up.

Buck POV:

"Ugh..."

I groaned lowly as my eyelids groggily opened.

I felt a sharp pain shoot up my spine as I adjusted my position on whatever I was on.

"Tabanak!"

I growled in a whisper voice as I winced and grimaced my eyes.

Eventually the pain subsided and I sighed audibly, then stood up tall on whatever I was on.

"A trash pile? In an alleyway? Where am I..?"

I grumbled lowly to myself as I looked around confusedly.

"Looks like I've got my gear still, Let's see if I can get a signal."

I spoke lowly as I inspected my body, taking note of the fact that I had all of my equipment from earlier before I was here.

I then fiddled with my radio on my pack strap and got nothing but static for my fireteams frequency.

"...looks like I'll have to investigate."

I whispered to myself after I switched the safety off my hybrid C-58 AR.

I then cautiously and quietly stepped off the garbage pipe I was on, then walked down the alleyway with heightened senses.

I was creeping up on a red glow that led into a busy street and buildings nearby alike, it seemed like I was in a city just from looking here.

'Strange, maybe someone in this city can help me...or at least tell me where I am.'

I thought to myself before I peered around both corners of the alleyway entrance out into the street.

I saw strange creatures, of assorted colors, like red, pink, grey, white, you name it.

They also had horns, and some looked like wolfs standing on their two feet, others looked sort of like humans.

I took immediate notice of how tall these creature were, you see, I'm 5'11, so a pretty average height for a male of my age back in my country, but these creatures were like 7 feet tall!

Pretty freaky, I guess I have to approach one of them eventually.

I probably won't survive long down here without help, might as well die trying.

I waited a couple minutes for a...not AS threatening looking creature to pass by the alleyway.

I saw a shorter, still a few inches taller than me, owl creature with a beanie on their head and a black over coat on to cover up their white and pink star pajama shirt.

They wore black boots and had purple-ish blue feathers along with pink eyes and a white face.

"Hey! Psst! Sorry to bother you, but would you mind helping me out?"

I asked in a genuine tone as I lowered my rifle and stepped out of the shadows slightly.

The birds' face lit up with delight as my eyes met theirs.

"You...are a human!?"

The bird exclaimed as their demeanor lit up significantly.

"Yes! Yes I am a human...where am I? And what are you?"

I asked in reply hesitantly.
