My pronouns are They/Them and this chapter takes place a couple days after I came up from the elevator

Willows POV
Me and Owen were just talking about some problems with the maze and stuff on a flower bed before "Owen! Willow!" Someone shouts. I quickly hide behind Owen, "It's just Oeca, kid" owen tells me, "Oh... sorry" I say, "It's ok. Anyway, Oeca what is it?" Owen asks, "there's a new person" he yells before running away. "Welp, we should go." Owen says, "yeah", we both stand up and start walking towards the elevator.
Once we are there, we see that almost everyone except for Rasbi and Oeca are there. Owen and I started moving through the crowd. Once we were at the entrance of the elevator, Owen jumped down, "Sorry I was late, I'm Owen" he said. The person had dirty blonde hair similar to mine, they wore a light pastel orange hoodie and a pair of jeans. I soon noticed it was my turn to go down.
I jumped down and walked up to the other person, we seemed to be the same age.
"you look like a carrot" they said, I giggled softly at that, it was quite true I did look like a carrot.
'Sorry did I say something?' They signed, "yeah you called me a carrot!" I giggled
They tilted their head, 'do you know ASL' they signed, "yup!" I said
They asked what my name was in ASL, "oh right, my name is Willow! What's yours?" I replied
Before they could respond Graecie stepped up, "Origami is their name." She said, "umm, I asked them though" I replied quietly enough for her not to hear me, but I was pretty sure Origami heard me
"oh well they do those odd hand movements and nobody knows what they're doing so I thought I'd tell you." Graecie said while looking back and forth at me and Origami, "Well i understand them" i replied quietly. I looked up at owen, i felt uncomfortable, I just wanted to go back to the flower fields
I could hear Owen explaining what was outside of the elevator. I could see origami walking up to the exit of the elevator and seem to be trying to look out by jumping,
"Umm, maybe you could use the ladder" I suggested
They looked around, going over to the ladders before being stopped by Graecie, "If you go up there you've got to talk, you can't do those weird hand movements." She said
"i-i can translate!" I said walking up to Graecie
"I don't think that's a great idea. They should speak for themself." Graecie said, Origami nodded "I'll speak." They replied, "ok" I said
Graecie glanced at origami and mumbled something I couldn't hear, origami pushed her arm out of there way and climbed the ladder, i followed close behind. they sat themself on the ground, stone quickly turning around.
They darted into the forest and Owen ran after them, "Owen! Let them be" I said as he stopped running
Me and Owen returned to the flower fields we were in before origami came up. "I'm worried about them, what if Oeca or Mohwee finds them?" I asked, "I'm sure they'll be fine" Owen replies.
