▓00|BEGINNING

"Hello!" A curly haired boy stared down at the girl who lied on his bed.

"Who the hell-" the h/c haired girl sat up instantly. "Where the hell am I?" The asked as she looked around at her surroundings.

"I found you near shore." The boy shrugged.

The girl paused and all the memories of the night before resurfaced to her mind.

"You saved me." She murmured.

"Yep. Surprised you didn't drown."

"And you didn't turn me in?" She looked at him.

"What?" The boy who wore a straw hat tilted his head in confusion.

"Do you even know who I am?"

"Of course I do. But why would I turn you in?"

The girl scoffed softly. "Have you seen my bounty? By now, anybody would've turned me in while I was passed out."

"But I'm not 'anybody'. I'm Monkey D. Luffy." He gave her a sweet and warming smile.

"...do I have to introduce myself?" Y/N murmured. Obviously he already knew who she was but she was just trying to make sure.

"Nope. If you don't wanna." He leaned in a little closer to her. "What happened? What were you doing out there?" He asked softly.

Y/N shifted her eyes somewhere else. "Don't want to talk about it right now." She answered.

"Hm, okay! You can stay as long as you want!" He grinned brightly. "Are you hungry? Cause I am! Do you like.."

The boy kept talking and talking.

She appreciated his gesture.

But the events that occurred the night kept replaying in her head.

She wasn't hungry.

She just felt betrayed.

Two months after the occurence.

Y/N did not want to leave Luffy.

1. Because she didn't have anywhere else to go, really.

And 2. She felt like sticking by his side. Appreciation for saving her.

"I'm going to head out soon." Luffy said. Y/N smiled at him as she washed dishes.

"To the grand line?"

"Yep."

Silence.

"Want to join me?"
"Don't have to ask me twice."
