Amika awoke to the sound of an intense roaring sound. As her eyes flickered open, for one moment blazing light flashed brighter than anything she had ever seen, in a pale purple-pink hue. She dazedly pulled the cover of the sleeping bag down and stood out of it. She stepped to the window, flicking the light switch on and gripping the window frame, pulling herself closer to get a good look. She rubbed her eyes and looked out to see a futuristic spaceship hundreds of times larger than the cabin. "W-WHAT!?!"
She froze in shock and awe, bringing her hand to her arm and pinching it. "Nope. Not a dream. What on Earth is going on!!" She dashed to her roommate Lisa's bed and tore off the blankets, exposing her to the light. Amika shook and shouted to wake her up, and she eventually did. "why are yw wakng me up nw, s'like 3 am..." Lisa grumbled, sitting up and yawning. Amika grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her to the window. "Just look at this!" Lisa instantly lost all grogginess and shot her arm to the shutters, closing the view to the ship. "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING. IS THIS A PRANK? TELL ME!" Despite her angry words, Amika could tell she was more scared than her. "I'm just as confused and shocked as you! It just showed up with all this light and sound and-" She was silenced by a noise cutting through the night air. A metal door's sliding, followed by giant footsteps. Lisa dashed through the cabin, motioning Amika to follow. "We have to get out of here, go hide in the garden." Through the gaps in the window shutters, a shadow spread, blocking the slices of moonlight. Lisa grabbed the handle of the sliding door, jostling it. Amika piped in, "I told you we should have replaced that thing!!" Lisa didn't respond, looking more focused than she had ever seen her before. The looming shadow went over the door and into the yard. Lisa grabbed a nearby chair and smashed the door in a moment of intensity. She grabbed Amika by the side and set off to the shed. Amika looked behind her, at the source of the shadow, freezing as she realized they were too late.
A giant feminine humanoid creature stood towering taller than a house, staring directly at them. Its skin was an unnatural purple, and it wore a silver form fitting uniform with a jacket. It crouched down, reaching for the two humans. Amika screamed, and in her panic fell, cutting her leg deeply on the broken glass. Lisa stood, eyes flickering between Amika and the alien. "I-i'm sorry." She turned around and ran into the forest behind the house, disappearing in the trees.
"COME BACK! PLEASE! DON't JUST LeAVE m-" The alien's hand enveloped Amika's body, muffling her screams. She fought as much as she could, but she was the size of a baby mouse compared to it. She blinked back tears and tried to accept her fate crushed or experimented on for eternity. It only took a few steps for the alien to get back to the ship. She could hear muffled voices speaking a language her brain couldn't process, and the beeps and hisses of machinery. After a minute that seemed like forever, the hand opened, and she fell into a see-through tank. 2 more of these aliens stood observing her, talking to each other and writing on tablets. She looked around the area, thinking of possible escape plans. The tank was smooth and barren, and the walls were far too high to climb. Outside the tank, a lab-like place was. A large pod the size of the aliens filled with a pink liquid was embedded into the wall next to the tank, and the counters through the room were covered in futuristic parts and diagrams. The door was at least in the lab, but it was far from the tank and appeared to need some form of a (Fingerprint? Handprint? Eyeball?) scan to open. She seemed to be trapped.
The alien with pale pink skin and a tablet walked closer to the tank, pressing a few buttons and bringing the tablet's screen to the side of the tank. A simple graphic displayed, showing what looked to be very sloppily written English. It read "We are not here to hurt you. Please swallow this device to understand." It carefully dropped a bag containing a small pill-like silver thing. Amika thought. On one hand, it could be a trap, but on the other hand, what did she have to lose?
She unfolded the bag and picked the device up. She put it on her tongue and ate it. Almost instantly, she could feel a scuttling movement in her stomach, which spread through her whole body. A loud ringing in her ears faded in and out, and the world slowly faded to black. "IT Was a trap..."
