Pairing: Miles Morales + Hobie Brown
(Can be read as platonic or romantic)Caregiver: Hobie
Age regressor: Miles
-------------------Miles was in his room as usual. He had his headphones in and was trying to get some work done, he had some upcoming tests coming up, and it was already hard enough to do when you're a student in school and a spider person. He couldn't fail this one. His parents would kill him, but at least it wasn't a Spanish test.
He was trying to memorise a passage until he realised he was only reading one sentence. Over and over. It threw Miles off for a moment before he tried again, realising he felt too fuzzy to even comprehend what was going on. He felt himself become more confused by the second. He tried to read it again, Hobie had just entered Miles's room through the portal, closing it behind him.
"Hey, Mate. Watcha up to?" Hobie asked, his thick British accent alerted Miles, as he quickly looked up, gasping in surprise. He calmed down when he realised it was only Hobie.
"Oh, hey, just uh... memorising some stuff for a test." Hobie rolled his eyes at that, scoffing a bit.
"You really gonna give in to the education system?" He asked. It was Miles's turn to be unimpressed.
"I have to. It's for an upcoming test, and it is really important. But for some reason, it all seems... fuzzy?" Miles tries to explain. Hobie looks curious and leans over to see what he's reading. It's some long passage that looked very boring.
"I don't blame you for zoning out or whatever. This stuff makes me dizzy and-" Hobie cut himself off when he saw Miles swinging his legs and chewing the sleeve of his hoodie. He now realised what Miles meant by 'fuzzy'. He was just surprised that the mentally younger boy wasn't aware of it.
"Miles, how old do you feel?"
"Uh... tiny."
The punk chuckled. It didn't answer much, but it gave him a hint. Miles was still chewing on his sleeve, trying to look at the textbook. Hobie tutted slightly and guided the sleeve away from his mouth, causing the little to whine slightly.
"No, Miles... don't chew on your sleeve." He scolded him lightly, sighing as Miles chewed on his sleeve the moment Hobie told him not to. This was a sign of Miles regressing. He had a habit of wanting to put things in his mouth, which was why Miles was usually seen with a pacifier in little space. Hobie found it on Mile's bedside table. It was one which he and Pavitr decorated as a gift for him.
Miles looked up at Hobie curiously and reached up his hands to him, making grabbing motions with his hands. Hobie chuckled and picked the little up, walking over to his bed and placing him there. He then got the pacifier, popped off the cap, and gently pushed it into Miles's mouth. Miles didn't seem to question it much as he played around with a stuffed giraffe he found on his bed.
"Anything you want to do?" Hobie asked him, Miles perked up and looked around, his face looked concentrated, finally he pointed to the sketchbook which was sitting on his desk. Hobie walked up to the desk, getting the sketchbook and some coloured pencils, and walked back over to Miles, who looked really excited. He sat back down on the bed with Miles, handing the little his sketchbook and pencils and chuckling as Miles quickly snatched them from his hands.
Miles began to draw random doodles in his sketchbook. They looked really childish and messy, compared to his usual well detailed artworks. When Hobie tried to look, Miles quickly covered it and shook his head, making the caregiver laugh.
"Is it a surprise?" He asked, Miles nodded, continuing to draw. A few minutes passed, and Miles was finished. He proudly turned the book to Hobie, showing a picture of some sort of obese horse. Hobie looked confused before looking up and smiling.
"That's a very nice horse, buddy."
"No horse. Bunny."
"Ah, that's a very nice Bunny, buddy." Hobie corrected himself. Miles looked happy and continued to colour it in. Now it was a purple bunny, and Miles looked really proud of it. After a while, he got bored of drawing and out down his pencils, flopping to his side and hugging his stuffed giraffe. Hobie took note of his and ruffled Miles's hair, hearing him giggle.
"You getting bored?" Hobie asked him, the little nodded, babbling a bit and snuggling into his giraffe, his eyes drooping a bit. Hobie sat Miles up and checked him, noticing that he was sleepy now.
Miles was wearing some shorts, a shirt and a hoodie, but Hobie didn't know if he was comfortable in those clothes, he lightly oat Miles on the head.
"You wanna change?" Hobie asked Miles, receiving a head shake and a yawn. Hobie chuckled and picked up Miles, arranging his bed a bit and placing him on it. He tucked Miles in with his stuffy and watched as he fell asleep. Hobie smiled, opening a portal as quietly as possible before leaving the dimension and closing it behind him.
Maybe him and Pavitr could do some web slinging?
