The mean girl's crush

Yronica stalked the killer from a distance, watching them chase some magician. She ran forward just as they were hit. "Thanks for your power, loser!" She laughed. The Android turned around and tried to hit her, but her shield blocked it. She vaulted over a fence, leading the killer away from the magician so that somebody could rescue him. "You're just a glorified toaster! You don't scare me." Yronica yelled to the killer close behind her. "I am not a toaster!" The Android said back. He swung the laser at her, but she ducked and dodged it. She vaulted through a window, the robot following close by. She was almaot hit, when some guy in a football outfit jumped in front and took the hit for her, but he didn't collapse. She didn't have time to thank him because they both ran in opposite directions. The killer eventually gave up and left her, after a few minutes of chase.

She made her way to a generator and found her 'friend', Eman, working on the same one. "Yronica.." Eman said, looking at her for a second before going back to focusing on the generator. "What do you want?" Yronica spat out bitterly. She didn't mean to be mean, it was by instinct that she acted like this. "God, do you have to be such an asshole all the time? What did I even do to you?" Eman scowled. ".. Nothing. Sorry." Yronica replied quietly. Eman was shocked. This was nothing like Yronica- she would never apologize for being rude. "Um.. Are you okay? Who are you and what did you do to Yronica?" Eman asked skeptically. Yronica looked confused. "I don't know what you're talking about." Their generator finished, and a whisper announced that they could eacape. Yronica instantly ran off, leaving Eman confused and surprised by the previous events.

Yronica ran off before Eman could see the pink hue on her face. "Oh god- what is wrong with me?! Why do I feel like this? Why did I say that?!" Yronica whisper-yelled to herself while running. She made it to the exit and decided to wait there until their time was almost done. She finally started to calm down until she saw the silhouette of the same person who made her apologise for the first time.

"Yronica? Are you okay?" Eman asked, a look of slight concern on her face. Yronica tried to keep up her act. "I'm fine!" The mean girl yelled, but her red face said otherwise. "No, I've never seen you act like this- it's kind of unnerving.." Eman said quietly. "I'm just trying to be nice. What's wrong?-"

Yronica looked behind Eman to see the Android close by, about to hit her. She cut the quiet girl's sentence short and grabbed her hand, pulling her into the exit.

The first thing Yronica felt was the freezing cold mist around her entire body, then the dirty floor of the cabin she stayed in. She looked at her now empty hand and blushed slightly. 'I held her hand..! If that even counted..' She thought to herself. "Why am I thinking like this?! What is that stupid girl doing to me!?" She questioned herself, leaning on the frame of her bed. "You have a boyfriend, Yronica! You can't be thinking about a girl like this.." She hit herself on the head, trying to get rid of her thoughts. " But then again.. Are we really even dating? He's so head over heels for that ugly piece of crap- but I don't feel jealous.. Why?" She thought to herself, she was interrupted by a noise.

There was a knock on her cabin door, and she half expected it to be Eman coming to question her or thank her for saving her, but no, it was some tall, really buff guy in a suit. "There's a campfire. We're making food with some supplies we found, come join when you're ready." Was all he said before he walked off, and Yronica was alone with her thoughts again.
