"I'm glad you're okay Finneas." Wren sniffled while grabbing her phone and attempting to leave the hospital.
"Wren. Could I speak to you. Alone?" Billie asked while grabbing her jacket and jogging towards the girl at the door.
"I mean sure. Whatever."
They both went out into the hallway which was completely empty now that it's time for the nurses to switch shifts.
"Wren. You look so drained, I'm sorry for everything I swear I am. Can you look at me while I'm talking? Please."
Wren looked up at Billie's blue eyes. They were extremely enticing.
"Don't cry.. I'm sorry." Billie whispered so softly Wren almost couldn't hear her.
Billie's hand rescaled out to wipe Wrens tears away. And the she rested her hand on the back of her neck, looking into her eyes before pulling her in for a kiss.
In that very moment wren wanted to crumble and fall into Billie's arms.
Wren finally kissed back, pulling Billie closer to her.
"I'm gonna drive you home. No need to call an Uber." Billie carefully grabbed Wrens hand and took her to the car.
Wren was starting to feel little after an entire week. It was so relieving to be little and to finally have Billie there.
"Billie." Wren mumbled as Billie clicked her seatbelt and started the car.
"Yes bunny? What is it?"
"Hold. Hold my hand." Wrens hand fell on the center console and Billie grabbed it, intertwining their fingers.
"So sleepy." She whispered.
"I know love. I know. Do you want to go to your house or my house?"
"Get bunny. Stay with Billie." Wren yawned, rubbing her eyes.
"Okay okay."

Billie finished tucking Wren into bed and went straight to the studio.
She heard Finneas' voice on FaceTime and ended up wandering into the studio, watching Billie from the doorway.
She was afraid she'd get yelled at so she just stayed quiet.
"Pumpkin. Do you want to say hi to Finny?" Billie opened her arms to wren who happily ran into them. It felt good to be with Billie again.
"Hi finny"
"Hi kid. You look happy."
"You okie finny?"
"Yep. Only a few scratches. I'll be home tomorrow."
"Where Claudia?"
"She fell asleep. Do you want to see?"

Wren sat on the floor coloring while Billie and Finneas wrote music together over FaceTime.
"Mama. You sound pretty." Wren said while focusing on her coloring page.
"Thank you princess."
"You welcome." Wren yawned again and Billie chuckled.
"Do I need to walk you back to bed pumpkin?"
"Nu uh. Spend time with you." Wren seemed to drag her words, which really told Billie she was over tired.
"Bunny we have all day tomorrow I promise."
"Bil why don't you just take a break tonight. We can finish this in the morning."
Billie smiled and grabbed her little off of the floor.
"Thank you finny."
Billie carried wren to bed and tucked her in before climbing beside her.
Wren shuffled a bit to get closer to Billie and closed her eyes.
"Uh oh. Can't sleep." Wren said while peeking through one eye.
"Silly girl. You were sleepy a little bit ago. What happened?"
Wren just shrugged but before you know it she had fallen asleep, holding Billie tightly.
