Artemis was standing behind her father and the princess in the council and Aegon was standing across the table standing behind his mother and grandfather
"Today, I would like to announce that Daemon's eldest daughter, Artemis Targaryen, will be betrothed to my eldest son, Aegon Targaryen, this day forward" Viserys says sitting at the head of the table
Aegon's eyes widen at the news and he immediately looks at Artemis who has a neutral look on her face
She not upset or not happy either
"What!" Alicent exclaims shocked by the news
"You did not speak to me about this" Alicent says with a confused gaze
"I do not have to speak to you about everything" Viserys says giving Alicent a look that makes her look down
Artemis feels bad for the woman
"Also Artemis, from this day forward, Ser Niklaus will be your certified protector until your last breath" Viserys says waving his hand towards the knight Artemis met yesterday
Artemis sends the knight a smile which he returns then she turns to look at her uncle
"Your grace, may Aegon and I leave so we can get to know each other?" Artemis asks with a small smile
"Of course" Viserys says with a nod
Artemis smiles then walks round the table and pulls Aegon out of the room with Niklaus following them

They were walking through the Godswood with Niklaus walking five feet behind them
Neither of them has said anything
"What is your favorite color?" Aegon asks breaking the silence
"Mine is red" Artemis says with a laugh making Aegon smile a little
"Mine is purple" Aegon says making Artemis look at him
"Purple!" Artemis exclaims looking at him with a look of shock
"Yes, it is actually. Shocked?" Aegon asks with a chuckle
"No, I, Uh just thought green would be your favorite" Artemis says sending a look at his emerald outfit
"My mother wishes me to wear her house colors" Aegon says looking at his with a sad small smile
"Wear whatever colors you wish especially if it's your favorite" Artemis says giving him a look
"Thank you, Artemis" Aegon says smiling at her
"How do you think Kings landing so far" Aegon asks with a wondering tone
"It's definitely different from the places I've lived before" Artemis says with a chuckle
"And how do you like it?" Aegon asks with raised eyebrows
"I have not lived here long enough to answer that" Artemis says with a scrunched nose making Aegon smile
