(Guys this story is totally a joke do not take it seriously please i beg)
Noah's POV:
It was a cold, snowy winter day in Vermont. I love Vermont. My mother always used to call it the "Season of the sticks" but she died during the season of the sticks so I always think of her whenever it's winter and such.
I put my long dark brown hair into two messy dutch braids and grabbed my guitar before making my wintery trek out the door. I am wearing a pair of brown denim overalls with a nice thrifted knitted sweater underneath, straight out of the goodwill bins.
As I loaded my belongings into my forest green Jeep Gladiator I felt the cold nip at my cheeks. All I needed was my usual hot coffee to start my day, because I am in fact, a coffee kind of girl.
As I hopped into my Jeep I turned on the radio. The first song that played was one of my all time favorites by an indie underground band called "Lovejoy". It was called "Taunt". Banger tune by some pretty cool british people. Ugh... I love british people.
I drove down the snow covered roads carefully while listening to my music. Next up was "Lacy" by Olivia Rodrigo. She just covered one of my songs recently, I adore her music.
After that, on the radio, a song I have never heard before. I listened to the lyrics carefully and they started to make sense in my head. This song was absolutely beautiful. I picked up my phone and decided to shazam the tune. What pops up on my phone is a song by an artist I have never heard before, im assuming indie, underground, interesting, intriguing. My phone shows,
"Work Song" by Hozier.
Hozier... who is that?
I continue to listen to the song during my car ride to the coffee house and suddenly I pulled into the parking lot.
I opened my snowy car door and some snow fell on my head but being a Vermonter, that happens a lot. I guess my life is just kinda quirky!
I opened the door of the coffee shop and the warmth and smell of coffee hit my face like the car hit my mother a few years ago.
To my surprise I see someone performing live music. A very familiar tune.. I can't place it. Where did I hear this song. The man performing was beautiful. Looked like god almost. Just like how my mother saw god when she died.
We made eye contact
he smiled
I loved the song.
I need to know more about him.
Hozier.
