a visit from afar

01 - the beginning

Len sat down on the bus. Looking outside, waiting for him to be at his destination. Faraway town. And on the other side of his seat, Rin was
"man, this is all your fault, rin.." Len whispered looking at Rin "wha-? hows it my fault? aren't you the reason we were sent here..? because meiko found out about your uuh.. songs." She whispers back, her voice filled with confusion up to the brim as she responds to lens complaining; his face flushed from embarrassment and he raised his volume up, not loud enough for everybody to hear though due to it being a loud bus; only maybe the front behind and in front of them could hear, obviously still flustered "h-hey, that isn't my fault! i was forced to sing those songs, okay?! I didn't come up with that stuff, I didn't write it, I AM pure-!" suddenly he was cut off, Len and Rin arrived at Faraway town, as everyone got off so did Len and Rin.

As they got on the sidewalk the bright sun shined on them. "Where do we go now?" Rin asked with a confused face "um lol I don't know. You didn't like get us a place to stay until we go home?" Len asked back "oh.. no.." Rin sighed and sat down on the concrete, why did they even come here? Those words spiraled her head "Isn't it hot on the concrete?" Len looked down at her sad face. "I mean- EEK!!" Len made a loud, high-pitched, girlish sounding shriek as he felt himself crashing down, he fell onto the ground next to his sister after someone tripped into him, holding onto the concrete with both of his palms

"ow.." he let out a whine as he looked at his hands, he had gotten a bit hurt-but nothing a normal bandage cant help with
"I-I'm sorry!" The boy looked at Len and offered him a hand to help him get up, "Oh uh.. it's okay.." Len awkwardly chuckled as he held the other male's hand, getting up from the ground and dusting his clothes off, the boy Len had gotten accidentally pushed by looked a bit caught off guard, his ORBS like a diamond in the afternoon sun light. A pink flower in his hair. A tint of blush goes on the boy's face, most likely from embarrassment..

"Sorry for bumping into you.. i-i guess I wasnt looking at where I was going.. uum... My name is Basil, i-its a pleasure to meet you!" Basil put his hand out with a sheepish smile on his face, Len looked down at his hand for a few seconds before it clicked "OHH HE WANTS A HANDSHAKE" his face flushed from embarrassment and he quickly shook the flower boy's hand, though he probably just seemed more weird from that.. "Oh, I'm Kagamine Len; and the girl on the floor sitting is my sister, Rin! ☆" Basil looked at her with a bit of worry in his eyes, he walked a little closer to Len and whispered "Is she- okay?" He asked politely, trying his best to be formal and have good manners since he just met these two and doesn't even know where they're from "Rin? Yeah, she's fine! I think.. She's just a bit overwhelmed, we came to this city for uuu.. business, but we don't have anywhere to stay currently..." Len said as he motioned his sister to get up, he reached his hand out and she then grabbed ahold of it, getting up and off of the concrete; meanwhile.. Basil seemed a bit conflicted, he let out a sigh and then smiled nervously again "You- Um I can ask-.. Sigh, you can stay with me at my house, both of you two!" Basil spoke a bit louder, he wasn't sure about them, after all he just invited two strangers to stay at his house. But hey they look like teenagers too! and despite having weird outfits in this day and age they seemed friendly enough? maybe they were.. cosplaying? plus, Len seemed a bit.. unfocused, so he wouldn't even be capable of anything at least in this current moment; It can't be bad if they stay over for a bit

"I should probably ask Polly first but- they seem like they need help.."

"Woah! Really?! Thank you Basil! You really don't have to.. uh.. Rin, come on!" Len grabbed his sister's hand and smiled at her warmly as they followed behind the other blonde male, as the day continued, and the sun dimmed down, Len and Rin were the next things shining, at least im Basil's perspective they were..

Maybe spending some time in Faraway town won't be so bad over the summer..
