Soon after escaping the mafia, Alexander and Carmen head to Axel's garage.
Axel: well, if it isn't my two favorite mercenaries! What can I do for you?
Carmen: we need you to patch up my car, if you have time?
Axel: no problem, I'll have her done in no time! Mind if I ask what happened to her or is it a "if I tell ya, I'll have to kill ya" type thing?
Alexander: this is Don Marino's work.
Axel: the biggest mob boss in the city? Sheesh... hope you got paid well to piss him off.
Alexander: I didn't do anything to him.
Axel: so why's he after you?
Alexander: I have no idea, last thing he said to me was "Alesia" and that's it.
Axel: "Alesia"? Ain't that the girl who died recently?
Alexander: died?!
Axel: yeah, it's all over the news. Check it out.
Axel turns on the news.
News anchor: BREAKING NEWS! Alesia Marino, daughter of businessman and suspected gangster, Vinci Marino, has been found dead in her apartment two days ago. Evidence suggests murder, the police believe the suspect to be a man by the name "Alexander Rogue" who has actually been connected to several murders over the years. Alexander: he thinks I killed her?!
Axel: did you?
Alexander: No, of course I didn't! And even if I did, he would've never known it was me. Someone is framing me!
Axel: can't you guys just explain that to him? you know, the you didn't do it part, not the he would've never known part.
Alexander: even I did explain it to him, he wouldn't believe a word I say. I'd need evidence.
Carmen: the hell are you supposed to do? Go to the crime scene and find the real killer?
Alexander: I mean...
Carmen: seriously? Honey, you're very smart, but you're not a detective. You need to stay as far away from that scene as possible or the cops will be on your ass too!
Alexander: and Marino won't get off either of our asses if I don't prove my innocence!
Carmen: what is this? Court?? There's no proving anything!
Alexander: then what do you suggest we do?
Carmen: pack our shit and run while we still can!
Alexander: let me ask you something... we've talked about having kids before, right? If we had a child and something like this happened to them, God forbid, would you let their killer get away?
Carmen: no...
Alexander: well that's how Marino feels. He won't stop until we're dead. So either we kill him first or we find out who really did it and end this. So which is it?
Carmen: goddammit... I need a drink.
Axel: coming right up!
Carmen: (sigh)... this is fucking ridiculous, you know that?
Alexander: yes, but we're running out of options.
Carmen: if we do this, you need to stay away from the cops!
Alexander: I love you, honey, but is this really a "we" thing?
