Ok, for your oc's gender, use a number generator from 1 to 6, no cheating. If you get an odd number, your oc will be a male / wizard, if you get an even number, your oc will be a female / witch.
Just to go over the numbers:
1 — Male / Wizard
2 — Female/ Witch
3 — Male / Wizard
4 — Female / Witch
5 — Male / Wizard
6 — Female / Witch
