(Third Person POV)

Aaron, Clara, and Nutcracker run to the shore, where Major Mint and Captain Candy are readying a boat to be pushed into the water.

"Major! Captain!" Clara calls out to them.

Major Mint leans on the boat impatiently.

"Oh, what's she carrying on about now? Probably saw a snake or a spider or a—" he guesses.

"ROCK GIANT!" Captain Candy yells when he sees the rock giant coming.

"Great googly!" Major Mint exclaims when he sees the rock giant, and his monocle falls off.

Pimm flies next to the rock giant, flapping wildly to keep up with it.

"There he is! Right there! Blimey, I'm blind as a bat and even I can see him!" he screeches.

Clara and Aaron rush for cover behind a boulder.

"Major, Captain, over here!" Aaron calls out to them.

The Major and the Captain join them behind the boulder, along with Nutcracker. The rock giant reaches down and grabs a large stone and hurls it at the boat, splintering it into pieces. The Major stands up, irritated.

"I worked on that sail a good half hour, you cheeky blighter!" he shouts at the rock giant, and Captain Candy stands up.

"Why don't you invite him over for tea and cakes while you're at it?!" he chides.

The rock giant roars ferociously and begins to lumber toward the group. Just as they feel cornered, the party is suddenly surrounded by snow fairies who begin to freeze the sea and distract the rock giant. A few more snow fairies arrive, leading Marzipan and her sleigh behind them.

"Look! It's Marzipan!" Clara says.

"Come on, before the snow fairies disappear!" Nutcracker says.

Everyone runs to the sleigh—except for Major Mint, who is frozen in surprise. Captain Candy grabs his hand and yanks him toward the sleigh. As soon as everyone is inside the sleigh, Major Mint flicks the reins, and off they go. The rock fairy begins to follow them, undeterred by the snow fairies.

"Ah, he'll break right through that ice!" Captain Candy realizes.

Aaron looks back at the rock monster, who isn't even putting a dent in the ice.

"It seems the snow fairies did their job too well," he says.

Getting an idea, Nutcracker leans forward and grabs the reins from the Major's hands, tugging Marzipan to a halt. He then leaps from the sleigh and draws his sword, rushing to confront the giant.

"A sword's not going to do you any good, lad! You'll be pulverized!" the Major shouts to him.

"Be careful!" Clara calls out to him.

Nutcracker slides to a halt, raising his sword over his head.

"Don't worry. Wood floats. . ." he says, and he brings his sword down, jabbing the ice and causing it to crack and split. ". . . rock doesn't."

Nutcracker pulls his sword out of the ice and runs back to the sleigh.

"Hurry!" Clara and Aaron shout.

"Come on! Put some zing in it!" Major Mint shouts.

Nutcracker grasps onto the back of the sleigh just as the Major flicks the reins to send Marzipan on her way again. The giant hits the splintering ice and his feet plunge into the ocean below. He tries desperately to cling onto the ice, but it cracks and crumbles beneath his arms. With a final roar, he sinks beneath the surface.
