I work two jobs. 1 at Cafe De Mahika where I take people's orders and 1 at another Diner called Everyone's Diner. I pretty much do the same there, take people's order and serve their meals.

I like working. I have nothing in my life that keeps me moving. Sure, the money Tristan gives me is more than enough to support myself, even buy expensive things. But I don't primarily do it for the money.

I just like it as it is. Besides, who says I'm not gonna tire of Tristan? We're probably gonna get tired of each other sooner or later. I need to save money before that time comes.

"Good morning! What can I get ya?" I asked the woman who was probably in her 30s. "One Americano with a shot of espresso please."

She's happy and nervous at the same time. She's wearing a corporate attire and I assume she's going to have a presentation or a job interview.

"Sure! Anything else ms...?" I asked and she replied, "Samantha... and no just the americano please."

"Alright. That would be 5.23 sena for you Ms. Samantha." she gave me the exact amount and I nearly smiled.

"Please wait till your name is called. Thank you." I said before handing her the receipt. "Thank you."

"Goodluck Ms. with the interview or anything." I smiled and she was caught off guard, evidenced by her widened eyes. "Thank you dear. You're very thoughtful." She smiled back. So warmly.

I couldn't help but flash a wider smile when I saw on her face that she's really happy and a little bit less nervous. Well, she didn't question how I knew, maybe because she was overthinking to notice.

"Good morning! What can I get ya?" I asked the customer who just arrived. "C-can you get me the drink kids usually like?" The old man, surely in his 50s asked. He's sad and worried.

"Is it for your daughter or your son Sir?" I asked politely. "It's for my 16 years old daughter. Haha, she's upset with me I'm tryna make it up with her."

I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. That's pretty adorable. "Hmm.. I would recommend our youth-favorite Strawberry-Choco Milky Frappucino. If she likes strawberry and chocolates.."

"Yeah! That would be perfect. She likes them so much she makes me buy strawberries and chocolates so she can melt them and dip the strawberries in it."

"That's just perfect Sir. I'm sure she would forgive you in no time haha. Anything else I can get you Sir?"

"That would be enough. Thank you Ms..?" I realized I haven't worn my name tag. "Oh... here, sorry. Yoshabel. And you Sir? For the drink."

"My name's Andy." He smiled. "Alright Mr. Andy. Please wait until your name's called. Thank you!"

"Thank you Yoshabel." And again I smiled. What's up with our lovely customers today? I was too happy to notice that another customer is waiting behind Andy. "I'm sorry to keep you waiting, what can I—"

Huh...

Why... why can't I read anything..

Why is this man in front of me not showing any emotions?

"I... would like to have a strawberry milkshake please." He said, not breaking our eye contact.

"Yes. Absolutely. Is there anything else I can get you?" I asked, inputting his order in the monitor while trying not to look at him. For some reason, I can't handle his eyes on me.
