Bokuto watched the scene unfold before him, a mixture of happiness and sadness filling his heart. Seeing Keiji and Montoya together again brought joy, but it also accentuated his own unspoken longing. He knew he had to let go, but it didn't make it any easier.
As he walked away from the park, his footsteps growing heavier with each step, Bokuto muttered under his breath,
Bokuto:"Maybe in another life, you will be my boy."
He glanced back at Keiji one more time, a wistful smile on his face.
Bokuto:"We'll keep all our promises, be us against the world."
His steps grew even slower as he continued, his voice barely audible,
Bokuto:"And I will never do what Komori did."
Bokuto had made a promise to himself not to let his feelings for Keiji become a burden. He wished them happiness, even if it meant finding it with someone else. As he walked away, he carried his unspoken love with him, hoping that in another life, their paths might align differently.
