Book 5: Just For a Moment

Chapter 1- Sarah

Joshua woke up for another day of classes, he yawned as he reached for his phone and turned off the alarm which was a a clip of a goat screaming

"you really got to change that annoying fucking thing" Miles, Joshua's new dorm buddy, said groaning.

"i think it's funny" Joshua joked pulling up his converse
"where are you going? class isn't for another hour"
Joshua slipped his shoe on then smiled "taking Nini to starbucks"
"oh, white girl central?"
"it's actually pretty good"
"no... it isn't" Miles pulled his face into his pillow then sighed

Joshua walked out his room then started walking toward Ninis dorm, he was glued to his phone scrolling through all the tiktoks Nini had sent him last night. He laughed when suddenly he bumped into a girl with brown hair and they both fell on their butts but the girl dropped her books

"shoot sorry let me help you with that!" Joshua scrambled her books together as she rubber her head "no worries, happens all the time"
"really?"
"no... but it's okay.... thank you" she grabbed her books and looked at Joshua and smiled
"i'm Sarah" she said softly sticking out her hand, Joshua looked at her then shook her hand.
"i'm Joshua" he smiled then looked at a flier she was holding
"is that..." he pointed at it and she looked down
"oh! the theater is doing High School Musical 3 this year! if you're interested"
"i don't know... i'm not really into that whole theater stuff"
"oh that sucks, i think you'd make a pretty cute Troy" Sarah brushed a hair behind her ear then looked at Joshua and he grinned
"i mean... i-"
"Joshua! hey!" Nini walked over to him and wrapped her arm around his then looked at Sarah
"whose this?"
"just a stranger" Sarah said smiling the handed Joshua the fliar "just in case you're interested, Mrs. Pearl is always looking for more actors"
Joshua took the fliar then looked back at her eyes and she nodded then walked away
"what's this?" Nini said and Joshua looked at her
"do you think i'd be a good troy bolton?"
"baby, you'd be amazing" Nini replied and Joshua smiled "ready for some starbucks?"
"hell yeah!" Nini and Joshua walked away, Sarah watched them from afar and sighed deeply
"Sarah? what're you standing in the middle of the hallway for?" May walked over to her and Sarah looked at her
"he's so cute" Sarah said
"him?" May pointed to Joshua and Sarah nods "he has a girlfriend"
"yeah, i know"
