Sunil

"What a night! We should do this more often. But with more drinking, you're barely drunk Riya, how am I supposed to have fun here?" Kabir winked at Riya. "Don't you think they need to just fuck at this point?". My girlfriend, Arohi, asked me that question like she didn't know I couldn't give two fucks about Kabir wanting to take Riya to bed. So I kept my eyes on the road, and my mouth closed. Arohi turned to Kabir,who was still flirting with Riya. The look on her face gave him her answer. But I knew him, he wasn't about to back down.

We met in the 7th grade. And became friends after I made the girl he was into at the time, fall for me. It wasn't because I wasn't interested. I just did it because I could. The guy put on quite a fight. He was no match for me back then and he isn't a match for me now, but the courage and determination I admired then, and now. I'd known him for so long that where he went right, I was already three steps ahead. We challenged each other and that is what kept him here, and things interesting.

"I've told you 'no' way too many times, and this is the last, NO", Riya was about to lose her cool, it was rare when she did, so when she started sounding like she was on edge, the others would join in just to push her off. "Why would you say no to him though?" Avani started, "If I were you, I wouldn't waste a second getting in bed with him.", "Look Riya, Kabir has a hot face, with an even hotter body, so-", "And he's offering himself to you, we all know he has too much pride for that, so he must really be desperate, right Kabir?" Siddarth interrupted Aradhya, "Absolutely Sid. And I've suffered enough rejection for one night anyway.". "Oh yeah, the girl at the club, man she got you good.", Arnav joined, chuckling at the memory. "What happened, and where were we?"Arohi asked on behalf of the girls. "The others were in the bathroom, and you were busy throwing yourself at Sunil.", my friends didn't like my girlfriend much, I never got why, and never bothered asking. I liked her and that was enough.

"You guys think the fall from this cliff would hurt?", "Oh I don't know Arohi, maybe I could throw you out and you could let the rest of us know the answer to that?" Sid rolled his eyes at her. "Ok that's enough." I intervened.

"Take the forest road home. The peace it brings me might be enough to douse my desire to throw your girlfriend into a pit of snakes" Riya broke the silence. "She'd fit right in." Avani whispered to the back. They all started laughing, while Arohi sat in silence in the passenger seat.

I had been driving on the forest road for about 15 mins when I saw something in the distance. The girls had fallen asleep and so had Kabir. Arnav saw what I was staring at and started shouting. He woke everyone from their slumber and I told him to shut up. When the others saw what we saw, they started recording it. Voices overlapped, "Is that a ghost?", "Well obviously, it's three in the morning and ours is the only car passing through a dark ass road in the middle of a forest.", "GET OUT OF HERE!!", "You guys are getting that, right?", "I CAN'T DIE TONIGHT".
"Guys, stop talking" I said, completely calm. Ghosts aren't something to be afraid of. As long as I just turn the car around and not mess with it we have no problem.

"THE GIRL SAID I LOOKED LIKE A BURNT NUGGET, I HAVE TO MAKE UP FOR THAT REJECTION", "Is that cool or whaaaat?", "Sunil babe, let's just turn around and leave.". But something, I have no idea what, wanted me to go there. The reason I am where I am isn't just hard work and struggle, I've always trusted my instinct, and I wasn't about to stop, right now it's telling me to go to the figure. So towards the figure I went.

I unlocked the car door and got out of the car. Behind me, I told everyone to stop shouting, but they weren't listening. "SUNIL WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? THE OVERCONFIDENT FUCKER IS GONNA GET US KILLED", "Why are you being such a baby Kabir? Ghosts are cool.", "SHUT UP ARADHYA! YOUR WEIRD INTERESTS ARE THE REASONS YOU'RE STILL A VIRGIN", and that was it "SHUT UP! ALL OF YOU" I said, anger coating my voice, and within seconds the car went quiet.
