*Year 2019

"Miss Maria Chandria Sarmiento, Miss Sarmiento!" our professor called out loudly.

While there I was a bit lost in my imagination, daydreaming of some guy I met last night, too focused at remiscing his chiseled jawline, well defined nose, luscious lips combined with his deep and beautiful eyes that my whole world is reflected to them. Ghaddd! He is so unreal that I can't stop thinking about him and I couldn't hear my professor calling me out so loudly.

"Huy, Chance to earth! Earth to Chance. Gising ghurl! Tinatawag ka ng prof natin"
said Pons.

"Yes, I'm here" I shouted and raised my right hand up in the sky. I was shookt when everyone laughed at me.
I stood up swiftly.
"May nakakatawa ba?!" I said to everyone and gave them a fierce look.
They all went silent and Pons was like cheering for me.
"Nobody can mess with "The one and only Chandria Sarmiento". whispered Pons while making a little clap gesture.

"Miss Sarmiento, please get your paper here. Congratulations for yet another perfect score in your midterm exams" said professor Santiago while I was walking towards her. I got a loud applause from my blockmates.

Just so you know, I am not a bully. I am just not the type you can push around. As a Leo zodiac, I will surely fight back when I know I am right or when something doesn't sit well with me.

After class, Pons and I went to a nearby Bo's Cafe while waiting for our next class.

"Pons" or Hipolito Chan is my gay chinoy bestfriend since forever. Our moms are the best of friends so we ended up being one as well. They actually wanted an arranged marriage for us because we are both unica hija and unico hijo of our parents, not until Pons came out of the closet. His patents accepted him though wholeheartedly and of course I did too so as my parents.

"Bruh! You did it again and again! I AM SO SO PROUD with you ghurl!" cheered Pons.
"As if you're not a candidate for cumlaude, Pons and you also did great in the exams" I replied to him.
"Gaga! That's thanks to you coz you always motivate me with your demanding ass to study! Huhuhu"
"Hahaha! Atleast we are both on top, Pons."
"Gaga! I'm bottom, JSYK!"
"Ghaddd language, Pons!"
"Chandria, don't start with me. Hindi porket hindi ka pa nagkakaboyfriend, innocent ka pa rin sa mga ganyan! Gaga ka kase ayaw mo jowain si Dylan na forever na nanliligaw sayo! Hello! Varsity yun, MVP pa! Tanga ka ghurl?"
"Ewan ko sayo, Pons. Wala akong time for that and guys are only interested in physical attraction. They only want to please themselves. Ikaw nalang kaya! sagutin mo na sya tutal type mo naman yon."
"Hahaha! Gaga! Kung saken yun nanliligaw, matagal ko ng sinagot! Kaso tanga din. Baliw na baliw sayo pero dahil bato ka ghurl hindi umuubra sayo ang biceps nya together with his beautiful and masculine face!"
"Shut up, Pons. I will never be interested in men"
"Oh my ghad ghurl! Are you coming out??? Tell me! Like I'm so crying right now ghurl"
"Pons, stop with your delusions and assumptions. I am not a lesbian, nothing against them though. I am straight as fuck, it is just that I am not interested in any relationships right now"
"K! Fine! Whatever you say ghurl. Pero pustahan tayo you will fall in love with someone this year!"
"What???! Anong klaseng manifestation naman yan?! That's never going to happen, acads is my top priority!"
"Let's make a deal then if ganun ka kaconfident ghurl?!"
"Definitely! Kahit itaya ko pa life savings ko!"
"Uy! Gusto ko yan! Pero I can managed din naman napakayabang mo dyan sa life savings mo ghurl hahaha!"
"I am just too confident that what you are thinking is never going to happen. PERIODT WITH EXCLAMATION MARK PA!"
"Oh gagalet na? Gusto na manaket? Basta the deal is, if that happens you will sing sa univ festival!"
"Pons, joke ba yan?!"
"December pa yun ghurl so my time ka pa maging bato! Hahaha kala ko ba confident ka?!"
"Like Pons? Hmmm pero yeah. Never naman yang mangyayare"
"Sauuuurr a deal is a deal it is?"
"Whatever! Pons"

Ghurl gusto ko maiyak habang tong si Pons. Patawa tawa lang dito. Yung pagkanta sa festival would be the worst day of my life. I cannof imagine myself doing that. Papatayin ko tong si Pons eh. Teka, bakit ako worried??? Hell no! Me falling inlove with a guy THIS YEAR???! Never going to happen over my dead lithe body!

"Hi, can I borrow your pen?" Someone whispered to me while I was so lost in my thoughts again. I turned and my face was just inches away from his pretty fucking face. Ghaddd!!! I can't move and I can't even breathe. I can smell his very masculine scent, I can almost even count his lashes. His eyes are locked to mine. Intrusive thoughts are invading me while looking at those plump and moist lips. I almost leaned towards it like I was spell bounded.

"Chance!" Pons snapped me back to reality, who just came back from the restroom.
Ghaddd!! what is happening to me? What is this with this guy???! I covered my face in shame.
"Hi, may I help you po?" Pons asked the guy.
"Oh, I was just asking if I can borrow a pen from your friend, but she was just too stunned to speak maybe."

Ghaddd! Wait what??? How confident?! This guy is getting in my nerves!

"Excuse me?! I don't have a pen and even if I do, it is not for borrowing of a stranger like you! Go buy your own pen!" I stood up, glared at him and shouted those wotds.
"Ah here, you can have my pen po. You can keep it na din po. Hehe excuse my friend here" said Pons, holding me, picking up my things for me and pulling me out of the cafe since everyone was looking at us because of my scandalous behavior.

"Gaga! Anong nangyare sayo? You were about to kiss the guy, Chandria! Tapos few minutes later aawayin mo? Kundi ka ba naman baliw!" Pons uttered while we were walking back to the univ.

I was too stunned and too embarassed to respond to Pons. I don't know what happened with myself too. I'm pretty sure I was spell bounded by that fucking handsome jerk!

Me and Pons got back at the auditorium just in time for our next class. We choose to sit few rows from the back.

"Chance to earth, earth to chance? Ghurl! Hulog na hulog ka naman agad dun sa stranger ha?!"
"Hindi ah! Maybe it was his smell baka may orasyon yun"
"Ghurl, naghanap ka pa ng masisi sa kalandian mo! Hahaha! Pero inferview naman kahit ako din susunggapan na agad!"
"Pons! Stop it! I am not like that!"
"Hahaha! I know, Chance. Kaya nga I was shookt with your actions kanina, mabuti nalang at nakalabas agad ako ng restroom coz if not baka ginahasa mo na siya ghurl! Hahaha kimmi!"
"Pons! STOP!"

"Do you have anything to share with the class, Miss Sarmiento?" THE FUDGE! Said that very familiar voice and fucking familiar face!
"OHMYFUCKINHEAVENS, Chandria!" Pons whispered who was also shookt to see the guy infront of the class.

I sat down, too stunned to speak again while looking at him.

"By the way, hey everyone. I am Jason Madrigal, I will be your temporary substitute professor for Ms. Gomez who will be taking her maternity leave. Hope I can get along with everyone here." He looked at me at parang pinaparinggan nya ako.

"Chance...I think his the one" whispered Pons.
"What are you saying?"
"Gaga! Looked at his profile. Student professor, candidate for cumlaude and a very yummy bachelor! This is really is it, Chance!"
"STOP IT, Pons!"
"I am really going to hear my bestestfriend sing at the festival! I am so crying right now!"
"Pons, will you stop!" I couldn't help but shout at Pons because he was so annoying already.

"I don't think you are interested in my class, Miss Sarmiento." Said Mr. Madrigal
"I'm sorry, Sir." I replied to him.
"I expect a good performance from you during finals week"
"Definitely!" Glared and raised my brow at him.
"Love that confidence, hope everyone else has that confidence too"

Girls were giggling, kinikilig sakanya. As if dapat na kiligin sakanya. Ok! Gets na cute and ok HOT sya pero arogante naman! Urgggh!

"Chance, perforrmance level daw sa finals! Gagi! Ang hot nung pagkasabi nya! Ghurl syempre hindi ka magpapatalo, pakitaan mo kung sino ka!" Pons once again sharing his dirty thoughts.

Isa pa tong si Pons. Kung hindi ko to bestfriend at hindi to mahalaga saken baka nasaktan ko na to!

"Miss Sarmiento, see you tomorrow and I hope you focus during class and not have your thoughts all over the place." Said Mr. Madrigal who was standing infront of me.

Wait what???! "Calm down Chandria! He's your professor" my consceince speaking to me. And, so I just nodded at him.
He winked back at me then walked out of the room.

The FUDGE! he is really getting into my nerves! Urgggghh!
