Deep Thoughts

Lucy, whom has stayed silent for the majority of the ride, caused Erza and Wendy to feel worried for her. What was on her mind that made her like this ?

"Is something on your mind, Lucy? Natsu, perhaps?" Erza questioned, jumping to conclusions right away.

"Don't worry about him, Lucy-San! He's Natsu-San after all!" Wendy said, trying to reassure the other with a bright smile on her face.

Lucy quietly nodded in agreement. Wendy was correct, it was Natsu on a simple job with a good partner. There's nothing to be worried about but, that wasn't what exactly was on her mind.

"You're right but..that's not what I had in mind."

If that's not the problem then what is? Titania and The Sky Maiden both tilted their heads and exchange expressions of worry.

"Then, what is the problem?" Ezra questioned once more as she hoped she was digging into the others privacy too much. All she did was worry anyway.

Gray, who has also been very silent, suddenly bursted into the girl talk. As if he knew what Lucy was thinking about. .or does he know what she's thinking about?

"Lucy..are you jealous of Lisanna?"

Everybody's attention was drawn to this conclusion, mostly Lucy's attention. Erza and Wendy sat in curiosity and silence, trying to piece everything together. It all started to make sense.

"What would..make you think that?" Lucy mumbled, mildly baffled by this statement.

With Lucy's reaction; things got more and more obvious which created curiosity to join the atmosphere once again.

"Jealous?" Erza asked, full of questions today.

"For what?" Wendy added, she was a bit younger to know anything about romance but it wasn't so bad to tell. Right?

Gray had evidence that this is what was going on in Lucy's mind, not for the carriage ride. It's been like this for a while now.

"Lisanna. Natsu's childhood best friend, one of the closest girls to Natsu, always worried about. Similar enough to Lucy, who, now, watches over and worries for him as well. It's simple.."

The Scarlet mentally scanned over his words as she nodded in agreement. Everything was true and accurate. But, why would Lucy be jealous? She's Natsu's closest friend now. Yeah?

"Now, that you think about it.."

Pouncing in the youngest one was also done with her thoughts. She quickly confirmed her words before speaking,

"I seem to notice that as well!"

Lucy, on the other hand, failed to ignore all of this and started to bite down on her lips. She started to feel guilty because of all this. It's all true.

"She's scared that Lisanna will take him back from her." Gray concluded.

Finally, they both understood. The scarlet and blue head's faces lit up and quickly flipped their eyes to the blond, who wouldn't even try facing them.

"Lucy..is this fine with you?" The armored woman asked, she tried searching for the other's eyes. But, they were no where to be found.

With no answer for the three of them, Wendy tried getting her attention again. All they needed were a few words from her. .

"Lucy-san?"

Gritting her teeth, she failed to fight the tears that started to stream down her face. Taking in one deep, broken breath, she finally found her energy to speak.

"No, it's not okay..Lisanna's a nice person. She's Natsu's friend, Mira-Chan's and Elfman's sister. I don't want to hurt anyone.."
