"What..?" Suzie didn't want to believe it. She clenched her fists, shaking her head. "N-No! There's no way Ashley did those things! I know it!" She protested. Elliot's expression was melancholic as he stepped forward once again. "Think about it, Miss Hayes. She was right beside Mister Grant where he died, nobody would have seen her go over to him. She let me chase Mister Thomas into the woods so she could take us both down, and she knew where you would be so she could get you too." He spoke with a dire tone, almost as if he didn't want to be saying it. "She's probably looking for me right now... it won't be long before she comes back. We need to hide!" He urged Suzie. The young woman winced slightly, feeling her heart was about to burst from her chest. She shook her head. "There's... there's no way." She insisted, but her voice was quiet, as if she was trying to convince herself. She stared down at her feet. "If you're right, then how did she get to Mona? She was with me the whole time!" She exclaimed, feeling proud that she proved Ashley was innocent. Elliot hesitated, before shaking his head. "I don't know, Miss Hayes... maybe she pricked Miss Burton with something that knocked her out and made her essentially die on her own." He spoke quietly. "Miss Hayes, please, we need to leave. Please, you need to believe me." Elliot begged. Suzie remained silent, clutching onto her shirt, before she finally nodded slowly. "O-Okay. Let's go." She mumbled, feeling guilt build up in her as she believed Elliot's theory.

Elliot breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Miss Hayes." He quickly gestured for her to lead the way to the boat, where they could hopefully try and ambush Ashley. Suzie turned around and prepared to run, but just before she could, Elliot spoke once again. "Oh, Miss Hayes? One more thing." Suzie didn't turn her head to look. "Y-Yes?" As she finished this sentence, she felt Elliot put his hand on her shoulder from behind, right before she felt a searing pain in her side. She yelped in pain, looking to see what had happened. Elliot had stabbed her in the side. The man leaned forward to whisper into Suzie's ear. "You shouldn't trust the one with the knife." He muttered in a sadistic tone, before pulling the knife out. He shoved Suzie to the ground as the young woman yelled, turning over quickly to face Elliot as she propped herself up on the ground with her arm, raising her other arm to defend herself. She barely had time to react before he slashed her across the arm with his blade. The pain instantly shot through Suzie's body as she screamed, tears pouring from her eyes. She fell onto her back, clutching her arm as blood spilled from the wound across her skin. Elliot chuckled menacingly as he stepped forward. "And here is where your curtain falls." He spoke, before he plunged the knife into Suzie's chest. The girl screamed out and writhed beneath him, trying to escape, but to no avail. Elliot stabbed her again and again, blooding spewing out from the wounds and leaking onto Suzie's clothes. She finally went limp as her screams stopped abruptly, her eyes clouding over as she finally succumbed to her wounds. Elliot stood up with a twisted grin on his face, staring down at Suzie's body, the blood pooling around her. His breaths were heavy as he caught his breath, before he looked up. Ashley was stood just outside the woods, her face pale and her eyes wide with pure horror. Elliot laughed manically, leaning back slightly as his twisted enjoyment shone through. He met Ashley's gaze one more time, before turning on his heel and fleeing.

Ashley hurried forward to Suzie's body, kneeling beside the young woman. She took Suzie's hand in her own, holding onto it tightly as she cried silently. Ashley leaned over as her body shook, her tears falling onto the ground and mixing with Suzie's blood. She wept as she slowly rubbed her thumb against the back of Suzie's ever colder hand, guilt and sadness filling her body. Soft sniffles and hiccups escaped Ashley as her sadness built up more and more. She shakily reached Suzie's hand up and kissed it gently, before resting it down on the girl's chest. Ashley finally stood up, wiping her tears away as she tried to compose herself. She looked to the side as she tracked Elliot's footsteps in the sand, following them with her eyes. She felt anger build up in her and so she stormed after the twisted murderer.
