Chapter 1

Hi I'm Annabell but everyone calls me Annie I'm 14 years old I used to just live with my uncle Merle and My daddy Daryl. But now we are living with a group of survivors.
I'm okay with it. I've made a best friend and that's Carl Sophia is great but she talks a lot. My Daddy went Huntin and Said stay in sight of uncle Merle or Lori. Since I'm almost always with Carl.

"Annie I'm going to go with them do not leave Loris sight. I will be before the night is over I promise." uncle Merle said giving me a hug then going to van.

"Okay uncle Merle. Does that mean me and Carl can have a sleepover." I yelled looking at Lori and my uncle.

"Yes that means you can Carl can have a sleepover." Lori said smiling at me

"Yay yay yay." I yelled jumping up and down.
Carl got up and hugged me so I would calm down.

~Later that night~
"They should be back by now." Amy and Lori said

Me Carl and Sophia were doing school work as the adults talked.
We started to hear a car horn. Everyone was trying to see what it was soon we seen Glenn get out then the van pulled up after. I waited for my uncle Merle but he never got out But Carla dad was Alive. I sat on the ground and started to cry uncle Merle wasn't back something happened.

"Annie what's wrong." Carl said getting on the ground in front of me he held my hands.

"My....my uncle Merle isn't back with them. He promised to be back why isn't he back." I cried then it hit Carl he didn't come back he hugged me and let me cry on his shoulder.

Rick had came and sat down with me and Carl.

"You okay guys." Rick said

"Where's my uncle Merle did something happen." I said crying still

"Merle Dixon is your uncle. Okay well no nothing bad happened he's alive he just didn't want to play nice with us. I will go get him but we have to wait for your Daddy to get back." Rick said holding onto my hand
Carl wiped the tears off my face
"It will be okay Annie my dad with find your uncle if he doesn't don't worry I will never leave you." He said hugging me. I smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

I little bit later I asked if I could go lay down.

"Lori can I go lay down for a little bit." I asked quietly

"Of course sweetie just go into our tent and nap you can sleep in carls spot if you'd like" she said getting down to my level.

"Poor thing her daddy is in the woods and her uncle left and never came back. If it wasn't for Carl idk what she would do." Lori said to Rick and the others.

I was woken up for dinner I walked out and found Carl I walked over to him and he made a spot in front of him and I sat there and lay back on his chest. Lori handed me some food I ate it. we sat around the fire and the adults talked and Carl and I had our own conversation. I soon fell asleep again.

"Come on Carl and Annie time for bed" Lori said getting up.

"Mom Annie's already asleep dad can you help me get her up I'll carry her I just need help getting up." Carl said looking at Annie.

~The next morning~

I rolled over and was met with a sleeping Carl. I rolled over some more and cuddles into him he makes me feel safe. And rn I need it more than ever my daddy isn't here and uncle Merle is missing. I miss my daddy I wish he would hurry up and come back.
I closed my eyes for a little long. I was awoken to someone trying to slide from underneath me.

"Carl if you don't stop moving I'm going to sit on you and never move." I yelled with my eyes closed. I heard him laugh I also heard Rick and Lori laughing.

"You better listen Carl."Rick said laughing

"Annie you wouldn't dare" Carl said back

"Wanna better Carl you may be my best friend but I will sit on you "I said back sitting up

"Okay okay I won't move anymore" Carl said sitting up as well.

We played outside for a little Lori had us do some school work. I was stilling doing some school work while Carl and Sophia went to play Lori was helping me when we heard Carl and Sophia Scream.
We all ran to see what was going on

I saw a deer daddy was probably hunting it but a walker has gotten it already. Soon daddy walked out talking about how he'd been tracking this deer for miles. He seen me and smiled at me.

"Hey Anniebear i missed you baby" my dad said giving me a hug.

"I missed you to Daddy." I said I got on daddy's back as we started t look walking to the camp site.

"Merle get ugly ass out here."daddy yelled for uncle Merle. I sniffed and daddy knew something was wrong.

"Annie what's wrong wher..." daddy was cut off by Rick

"Daryl we have to talk." Rick

" and who the fuck are you." Dad

"I'm Rick we have to talk about Merle." Rick

Daddy put me down and started talking to Rick. Then they started to fight I got scared and screamed when Shane put my dad in to a choke hold. Carl wrapped his arms around me as I put my head into his neck.
Dad and Rick got a group together to go get uncle Merle.

"Daddy" I yelled running to him. He caught me.

"I'll be back baby I'm not leaving you imma go get your dumbass uncle then we will come right back to you."He said kissing my head.

Later that night we sat by the fire. Amy went to the bathroom.

"Lori can I go get my coat I'm cold" I asked

"Yes sweetie you can go get it"she said I walked to get my coat. As I am walking back I hear Amy scream I looked and there was a walker bitting her. Something grabbed my shoulder and it was Shane

"Annie go stay with Carl And Lori stay there don't leave Lori's side." Shane said yelling.

I hugged Carl and Lori while the adults killed all of the walkers soon daddy got back with the others.

After all the walkers were dead I didn't leave my dads side. We soon hit the road again it wasn't safe at camp anymore Jim got bit Amy is Dead. We were heading to the Cdc.

As we pulled up to the CDC we see dead bodies everywhere. As we got out dad looked at me and held his hand for me to take and hold while we walked. We got to the doors but there locked.
"You lead us into a graveyard"

"He made a choice"
"Well it was the wrong choice"

We started walking away and then a bright light blinded us. Dad and Rick walked in first. I was holding Carls hand as we walked in he said we had to summit blood test to enter and we said yea dad Rick Glenn T-dog and Shane grabbed all are bags and ran back in.

We enjoyed dinner. I took a hot shower Carl drank a little wine he didn't like it. Once I was done I sat on my bed when Carl walked in.
