With you
I can laugh without worry
I can giggle with my eyes closed
I can talk about anything without worry
With you, I am meWith you
My eyes must sparkle
My laughter must be brighter than ever
My smile must never be faltering
With you, I am meWith me
Do you feel as happy as I do?
Do you feel free, too?
Do you laugh without restraint?
With me, are you you? With you
I feel your gaze on me
I see how your eyes never leave me
I see the stars sparkling in your eyes
With you, I am happyWithout you
I think my smile dimmed
I think that I forgot to laugh
I think that I closed up
Without you, I am smallWithout you
My voice seems to fail me
My insecurities begin to drown me
My thoughts shout at me
Without you, I am aloneWith you
Even over the phone, I am happy again
Even over the phone, I smile again
Even over the phone, I find my voice
With you, I am meEven when far away, I am me when I am with you
In our little bubble beside the pool, there is only you and me
And maybe I will leave this poem incomplete because our story is not yet finished
Yeah, I will leave this incomplete
