This starts with the day before Kyojuro became a Hashira. Well the night before that is. We're going to make Kyojuro become a Hashira when Tanjiro starts his training to be a demon slayer. His creature is a sun fox. (My au remember) Sun foxes gain their power from the sun meaning they are most powerful during the day. And if they don't find their mate they become depressed and lose control of their power. They only have mates that are shadow foxes. Which gain power from moonlight. Sun foxes look like your average fox but their fur is brighter than a normal fox when they find their mate. Tengen is a shadow fox. Shadow foxes are dark purple before they find their mate. When they find their mate they become silver in color. And mates can only find each other on a lunar or solar eclipse. Both shadow foxes and sun foxes have ears that look like their hair which makes them easy to hide. Now on to the story.

~Kyojuro Rengoku pov~

Tonight I got home late from a mission. And head straight to Senjuro's room. 'I have my own room but I don't want father to hurt Senjuro while he's asleep. So I sleep in Senjuro's room instead. I hope we both can get sleep tonight. Our creature inheritance should be some time soon.' I snap out of my thoughts as I get to his door. I gently knock our knock that lets each other know who it is. The door doesn't open. 'Shit is he asleep or...' my thoughts trail off as a sleepy Senjuro opens the door. I immediately hug him. He hugs back.

"Your home. I thought you weren't supposed to be home until tomorrow." Senjuro says quietly so he doesn't wake up father. I nod. "I know but I thought I'd get back as quick as possible so you weren't worried." I step into his room and remove my haori and katana. I set both of them by the futon. Senjuro hugs me again and says, "I missed you." I pick Senjuro up and carefully lay him bedside me. "I missed you to." With that being said we both begin to drift off to sleep.

~time skip to midnight~

I am woken up by a shooting pain going from my head to my feet. Senjuro starts squirming in pain. We both stay silent as our creature inheritance is activated. When the pain stops after what feels like hours I look at Senjuro to see a cute pair of ears on his head. I do a double take. They're fox ears. "Kyo-nii why are there fox ears on your head?" My hand immediately goes to the top of my head. I do have a pair of ears. "Sen I think we might be sun foxes." He starts to say something but yawns instead. "Lets try to go back to sleep.

The transformation really took a lot out of us. Senjuro is back asleep in no time. But I can't sleep. 'Who could my mate be. When I find out who Senjuro's mate is I will make it very clear that if they don't treat him right there will be war. You know what I'll worry about who my mate is tomorrow. I'll need my energy if I have another mission.' And with that I fall asleep dreaming about a day where I could truly be happy.

~Tengen Uzui pov~

I wake up a pain tingling in my chest. My mate has gone through their inheritance. The sun is shining through my window, a slight breeze crosses my skin. I sit up to see my flashy crow. "Caw caw there is a Hashira meeting! Get up! Quickly!" With that being said I shoot up from my futon. And do my flashy morning routine. After grabbing my dual cleavers (I think that's what they are. Correct me if that's not what they're called.) And head to the kitchen. My three wives are in there. Suma hands me a rice ball. "Hurry your crow already told us you have a meeting." Hinatsuro says. "Kay have a flamboyant day you three." I respond. Then quickly head for the door.

(Quickly note: Hinatsuro, Makio, and Suma are together. The three of them and Tengen have a platonic relationship.)

When I get to Oyakata-sama's home I am beat by Azure, the Eclipse Hashira, and Hemijima, the Stone Hashira. Over the course of several minutes the rest of the Hashira arive. "Oyakata-sama has arrived" two twin voices say as Master kneels in front of us. Out of respect and loyalty I bow. "We have a new Flame Hashira. His name is Kyojuro Rengoku." At the sound of his name a man appears from the door behind Master. He has golden hair with red tips and golden eyes with a ring of red around the pupils. I notice his hair looks like it's moving. But as I take a second glance I realize he has ears on his head.

"I am Kyojuro Rengoku!" He says. He sounds very energetic. Master says something softly and he sits by me. "Talk. Get to know each other." Master says then stands. "If you wish you may leave." He adds. I bow once again and Master leaves us alone. I turn to Kyojiro and say "I am Tengen Uzui. Nice to meet you." 

~small time skip cause I'm lazy~

As I leave I realize Kyojuro and I are going in the same direction. I decide to ask about his ears. They look really fluffy. " I have a question. Why do you have ears on your head?" I ask. Kyojuro suddenly looks a little uncomfortable. "If you'd like you can come to my home and I'll tell you there as there won't be prying ears." He answers. I nod in response. With that he guides me towards his home. As we enter we both slip off our shoes. And head to a different room. "KYO-NII? IS THAT YOU?" "Yes Senjuro, it's me." He calls back. Quick footsteps can be heard as a mini Kyojuro hugs him. (Him meaning Kyojuro.)

"Lets head to my room. Then we talk about your question from earlier." I nod and we make our way to his room with Senjuro in tow.

~Tanjiro pov~
(Earlier that day)

I awake with a start. My body hurts like no other. Specifically my head. "Urokadaki-san help!" I say softly. The pain is getting worse. I start to cry. (Definition of the pain for the ladies. Imagine having extremely painful period cramps but that pain is going through your whole body.) My body curls into a ball as Urokadaki steps into my room. "Tanjiro are you okay!" He asks worriedly. I weakly shake my head. He sits by me and gently hugs me. I lean into the hug and the pain begins to disappear after a few more minutes. My hearing seems a lot better.

Urokadaki puts his hand on my head and says,"Tanjiro you have ears!" I give him a confused look. "What do you mean? What do they look like?" Urokadaki beacons for me to follow. I stand and follow him outside. After walking for a while we come to a pool of water. "Look in the water." I move forward and look at my reflection. I have ears the color of my hair. My eyes have a slight silver ring around the pupil. "What am I?" I question. "From the silver ring around your pupils I'd say your a shadow fox.

That's it for the first chapter. How'd you like it? I have some extra stuff about the inheritance. Depending on what creature you are depends on what color ring you have around your pupil. And the next chapter will be a time skip to the Infinity Train and Enmu. But there's gonna be a bit of a twist. First Senjuro will become a Demon Slayer. He does use Breath of Flame. He will join the Chaos Trio and Rengoku.
