MINJI POV

I breathed a huge sigh of relief as I took my respective seat on time in Mrs. Park's class. I slouched down and looked at my teacher, realizing that she was giving me a small smile of relief as well, as if she was banking on me to not show up today.

Honestly, I thought I was going to miss out too. I had to miss the first period, because I was trying to kick out the girl I met last night out of my bed. Sometimes, girls didn't take the hint.

Unfortunately, I had to be a little more rude and kick the poor girl out. I definitely could not miss Mrs. Parks's class again, she would probably give me a month worth of detentions to make sure I attended.

Plus, I respected Mrs. Park Jihyo too much to disappoint her again.

"So, class, after thinking about it last night and going over all your test scores, I decided that today we could use class time as an opportunity to obtain some extra credit to replace some missed answers on the test." My eyebrows raised and a faint memory in me was reminded of a sad, voice that was begging Mrs. Park to retake the test yesterday. I wonder, was this why she was giving us this opportunity? She did mention that if she were to give this opportunity out, it would only be fair to give it to the whole class.

No, it couldn't be, why would she keep a student's wishes in mind and change her whole schedule? Or was I overthinking things?

"The class average was a bit lower than I was hoping, so I thought this would be a great chance to get some scores up," she paused, "But, unlike yesterday, you're not going to be working on this extra credit alone. Look to the person on your right, and that's who you'll be pairing up with. If you're sitting on the right most row, then you'll be working with a person directly across from you on the opposite side of the room." I looked over to my right, realizing that it was the wall and then looked over on the opposite side of the room.

I made quick eye contact with a small girl with deep, dark eyes that were covered with a familiar pair of thick-rimmed glasses. Recognition took place as I realized it was the girl that answered all the questions yesterday.

The teacher started passing out slips of paper than everybody handed to the person behind them. I glanced at mine and saw that it was similar to the test we took except for less questions. I glanced over to the girl, who was already steadily working on it without my help. I shrugged, then waited for Mrs. Park to give the signal for us to work without partners.

"I'll be sitting at my desk if anyone needs assistance." And with that, everybody started to get up and moved their desks to the person they would be working with. Chatter filled the room, and I decided to grab my stuff and walk over to the small girl since I was barely settled into my desk. I grabbed my desk and after some time, I dropped the desk right in front of the small girl and smiled.

"Hey," I said as I sat back down and leaned over to grab a pencil from my backpack. After silence met my greeting, I looked up and saw that the girl was still diligently working on the math problems by herself. "Uh, I can help too, you know?"

She stopped writing, then looked up at me, her eyes meeting mine. She had really nice eyes. I looked down to see that she was wearing a tight, black work-out shirt with some grey sweatpants. She must have already been dressed for some sport later, but it was kinda hot out for that type of workout outfit.

Why did that seem familiar?

"Is that a hickey?" The small girl blurted out.

I blinked in surprise and put my hand to my neck, "What? I uh," I thought back to remember if I had a hickey on my neck. I couldn't even remember, I thought I was careful.
