Breakfast carried along normally, and before you knew it, you and Eren were in the carriage, making your way into the heart of Maria.

This was the perfect opportunity for you to see that Eren wasn't as bad as he once showed you. In his eyes, this was a romantic outing, while you were still under the impression that he was in love with Mikasa, and this was a friendly date.

While deep in your thoughts, you noticed the route the carriage was taking was not the route to Maria's square.

"This is the wrong way." You mumbled as you faced Eren, who had a small grin on his face.

'You're so clever, Y/n.' He thought. "You're right. I thought you'd enjoy something a bit more nostalgic." Eren told you, his choice of words puzzling you." Don't worry, you'll like it." He reassured.

"I guess we'll see then." You gave him a look of incredulity.

As the carriage scurried along, the environment became more and more secluded. You started seeing fewer houses and more unoccupied land.

The route was also becoming quite familiar to you, as if you've been here before. The carriage halted, and Eren stepped out first, stretching his hand for you to take.

Before you, a grassy trail laid ahead, leading towards what appears to be a little hill.

'I've been here before, I just can't seem to recall when...'

Green grass and pretty little daisies littered the sequestered area. As you both got closer and closer to the top of the hill, your mind began to flood with hazy memories.

Atop the hill sat a fluffy looking towel with a basket, flowers, and a variety of foods sitting on it.

"This place-"

"It's a bit silly, but remember, we promised to come back here- so I thought why not do it now."

After your first year of living with the Yeager's, you had your moments where you felt like a burden and just wanted to be alone.

Sometimes, you would run off to this very hill and sit by yourself sometimes. You would cry from both sadness and confusion.

'Who were your parents? Where are they? How did you end up in the fields that day?' Everything was all so confusing to you. You hated that you didn't have answers to the questions that plagued your mind.

Oftentimes, when you'd leave without a word, you thought the Yeager's would be relieved that you had left, but you were wrong. They were worried sick and roamed the entire town just to find you, but only one person always knew where you were.
