As your lunchtime encounter led to a weekend event, the rest of your day dwindled away, almost evaporating as you tried to soak in any potential knowledge that could make tutoring less torturous.
As the hour of your final lesson of learning gave out, you gave way to the horrors that lie beyond.
Today, as it so happens, was tutoring, everyday was tutoring. Tutoring, tutoring, tutoring. Ezekiel was going to get sick of you at this rate.
As you mulled over your options for the latter end of today, your brain clouded over as your short time left in heaven shrivelled up, whilst you descended ever-so-awfully from grace into the fiery pits of tutoring, no pun intended.
The ominous feeling bubbling in your gut wasn't anything new, yet even so you could barely face your lessons, oh god, is this what adult life is like?, you sweatdropped
Yet your tumultuous feelings churned in your stomach, but you could do nothing else but to head onwards, your heart could find some solace in fulfilling your duties, right?
Heeding the fear woven deep in your heart, you kept on, and throughout your session, your shell became stiff and brittle, threatening to collapse upon yourself at any moment and cage yourself in a most unfortunate predicament.
You didn't have the heart nor guts to tell your tutor of your ..distaste for his teaching. Not that you weren't grateful, but you felt rather guilty for your views. You knew that he was doing his best to help, and yet you didn't feel an ounce of true passion to learn about his words or what they meant in the context of whatever you were learning today.
Your fingers lay immobile, and your brain remained un-wrinkling? you weren't sure what kind of action a brain could make when cooped up inside a head, perhaps it could do with some little exit for whenever it desired, it's surely go insane from being trapped in there for what? over ten years?
But ignoring your brain-less queries, your tutor noticed your disposition towards his lesson pretty quickly, with your silence and obviously uncomfortable stature being likely key components in his discovery.
"Oh my? Slacking off?"
He teased, in a frivolous mood, yet you had neither the patience nor care for his fun.
"Yeah yeah.."
You trailed off a bit, and in an attempt to make yourself a bit more comfortable in this atmosphere, you brought your elbows to the table and laid your head upon your resting arms.
It was extremely clear on how you felt today, you doubted even a fool couldn't guess your immovable fatigue, that rested on your back, pulling you down to Earth for every chance you had to remain up in a trance.
To your surprise, Ezekiel pulled up a chair next to you and sat, mirroring your position, with his eyes almost looking into your core being. Urgh. Was this entirely necessary? Could he not just call it quits to the lesson and send you home? Or better yet, let you sleep for a while?
But no, his eyes devoured your expression, only to turn back and rise once more, slapping you on the shoulder - lightly - before placing both his hands on opposite shoulders.
"..What are you doing?"
"What am I doing, ey?"
You were not in the mood for some banter right now, all you wanted was a refreshing, restful latter half of the day before the torture started up once more.
"..I don't want to study."
"Aren't diamonds made under pressure?"
"Diamonds can crack under too much pressure."
