-Raven's pov-

I didn't know how to feel. First Trigon tells me that he's going to kill me then I find out my baby is older than normal. I was terrified. I wanted to scream. Trigon had to be behind this. Beastboy and I got home and sat in complete silence in the car for what felt like forever. Beastboy broke the silence pretty soon after. "Do you want something to eat?.." He said. I kept staring straight. "Raven.. It's okay.. We'll be fine.." Beastboy said, reaching over to me but I jerked away. I started to cry. "Trigon is behind this. I know he is." I managed to say in between my sobbing. Beastboy looked shocked. He suddenly got out of the car and slammed the door. I watched him as he walked away from the tower. I got out and called his name, he kept walking. I started to hyperventilate. Starfire opened the door and saw me standing there. "Raven! Are you okay?" She said as she walked over. I kept watching Beastboy walk off. Pretty soon Robin and Cyborg came out wondering what happened. "I'll be right back. I'm going to go look for him." Cyborg said, getting into the T-car. "Raven, lets go inside.." Robin said, helping Star and I.

-time jump-
"And then the doctor said that the baby is eight months old." I said. I had explained everything to Star and Robin. They looked shocked. "So why did friend Beastboy run off in anger?" Star asked. "Cause I told him that my father might be behind this." I said quietly. Both of them gasped. "But isn't your father dead?" Robin asked. "No. Before I got pregnant Trigon came to me in a dream. A nightmare really. He had already killed you all and was coming towards me slowly telling me that I was worthless and pathetic. Then suddenly.. Snapped my neck... And that's when I woke up. I was sweating and was a huge mess. But Beastboy was there to help me calm down. I still get little signs here and there from him. But these past few months nothing has happened until now. I'm afraid that the baby could be in danger." I explained. "So now.. Now what? Is this like when he came last time?" Robin asked. "I don't know. I don't even know what's going to happen with my baby. If the doctor is right.. I only have a month left until it's born." I said with my head down. Robin got up as Star and I watched him go to the window. "Then we must be prepared for it. I'll tell Cyborg to get all of the equipment we need just in case we need to do it here. Star will help with you if you need anything. I will help Cyborg with equipment. Beastboy, of course, will stay with you. If anything or anyone tries to hurt you or the baby Cyborg, Beastboy, and I will fight while you and Star hide in the basement. Okay?" Robin's plan was perfect. Star and I nodded in unison. Suddenly Robin's communicator went off. He quickly opened it and Cyborg's face appeared on the screen. "Robin, I found BB. We'll be back in about an hour." Cyborg said. "Okay. I'm here with the girls. Come back soon. We need to have a meeting." Robin said, closing the commutator. Star got up and went to the kitchen. She came back in a matter of seconds with a bottle of mustard. I watched her come back around the couch and sit down. She then opened the top and drank it like water. I just stared at her with disgust. I looked over at Robin for answers but he was still looking out the window. I shook my head and got up. "Well uh.. I'm gonna go take a nap. When Beastboy gets back just tell him where I am and to be quiet." I said, walking out of the common room towards my room. I opened my bedroom door and immediately felt heaviness. I looked around my dark room. I shrugged knowing nobody was there and that my head was messing with me. I walked in and changed into my yoga shorts and a band shirt. I pulled out a few candles and lit them. I decided to meditate because of everything going on and if I didn't soon something might blow up. I meditated over my bed, just in case I fell asleep. Pretty soon after I started meditating I lost track of time. But at least I felt at peace.

-Beastboy's pov-
"Garfield! Where are you going?!" Raven called after me. I just kept walking. I needed to clear my head for a few hours. Trigon was after my family, I needed to do something. I'm not letting my kid grow up without parents. I turned into a hawk and flew to the woods. I felt at home there. I turned into my human form and landed on a tree overlooking a waterfall. I just stared at the flowing water, remembering my parents.

-flashback-
"Mom look!" I said, pointing out the car window towards a colorful bird. My name is Garfield Mark Logan. I'm 9 years old. I have blond think hair, peachy skin, freckles all over my face, and bright green eyes. My mom has green eyes just like mine. Other than that, I look just like my dad. My dad is a scientist and had to go to the jungle to study animals, so he brought us. Today he had the day off so we decided to go on an adventure! Once we got to this huge tree my dad stopped the car. "Alright! Time to walk!" He said, getting out of the car. My mom and I followed behind my dad. We walked pretty far. "Harold, we should be heading back now. It's getting dark." My mom said. My dad agreed and we started to walk back to the car. "Stay close Garfield. There are many poisonous snakes and spiders out here." My dad told me. I sped up to catch up with my parents. I then saw something shiny. I stopped for a second and took a look at it. I reached out to touch it because I thought it was gold. When I finally touched it, it moved and lunged at me. I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my arm. I let out a blood curdling scream to which my mom and dad turned around to see me fall onto the floor. Everything around me went blurry. I could barely hear my parents. I was scared. Really scared. I saw my mom crying and my dad carrying me. They started to run towards the car. "It's okay Garfield. Mommy's here." My mom said, crying. We finally got to the car and my dad opened the truck. He set me down and pulled out his brief case. He pulled out a needle with some green stuff inside. He put the needle where I got bit and put the green stuff inside of me. I passed out afterwards. I woke up a few minutes later in the back seat with my mom holding me tight. My dad was driving too fast. I was still very weak and could barely open my eyes. I passed out once more. Except when I woke up.. We weren't moving anymore. Everything was still. I looked around and saw we were in a river. I started to panic. I looked up my mom, she was silent and cold. My dad was the same way. They're dead. I panicked even more but had the mindset to get out and find help. As I was kicking the door to open it, I saw that I wasn't myself. I was green. I ignored that for now and kicked the door again. It finally opened, but water was now rushing in. I swam out and climbed on shore. I looked around the jungle and saw a group of people close by. I tried to yell out but I failed and passed out, again! But they managed to hear me fall and came over. They took me in since then. They were superheroes. I turned out to be one too. The medicine my dad gave me was something he had been working on. The power to turn into any animal. I accepted my fate and lived my life on the Doom Patrol. They were my family now and I, Garfield Mark Logan, am now Beastboy.

-end of flashback-
I was crying now. I had been sitting there replaying the memory of my parents. I missed them so much. I didn't want my kid to live their life as a parentless superhero. "Dude! Where have you been?" Cyborg yelled, nearly scaring the living hell out of me. I stayed silent. I heard him sigh and walk over to me. "Thinking about them?" He asked. I nodded silently. "Come on, let's get something to eat and talk about it." He said, holding his hand out for me. I took it and followed him to the car. Cyborg pulled out his communicator and called Robin. "Robin, I found BB. We'll be there in about an hour." He said. "Okay, I'm here with the girls. Come back soon. We need to have a meeting." Robin said and hung up immediately. Cyborg drove to my favorite place ever. Ronald's Pizza Parlor. I smiled at him and we got out of the car.
