You sat in your office, nothing but the soft shuffling of papers and the clicking of pens being heard. Everything was quiet, in the comfortable way that helped you focus on the boring paperwork you had to do. While sitting on your spinning chair that you once found fun before getting so bored out of your mind by the work put onto you, thoughts about your work and the time of the shift that still remained now crossed your mind. It's a quite frequent thought you've had, so did everyone else likely with a such boring position at their workplace. Tons and tons of paperwork thrown your way, having to do all of it so the higher ups don't bother you any further and your boss doesn't strangle you for such.
Looking outside of your workplace, behind everyone else's desks already was nobody now, everyone already gone home as their shifts ended earlier than yours did. The amount of time you'd spend in this hellhole was absurd, despite not having much to come back to at home. You looked up at the depressingly plain grey wall that had a clock in the middle of it, checking the time as you often did. It was already quite dark outside so your shift must've been coming close to an end too. On the clock you saw that there was only 15 remaining minutes before your shift ended.
You let out a sigh as you put away some papers, then reaching out to grab some news ones before doing a pause to type something onto your computer, entering and documenting all kinds of information and things. As you continue to work for this last excruciatingly boring 15 minutes, you begin to question yourself and your life choices. Why did you even pick such a boring job to begin with? Why the hell did you even think such long shifts were a great idea to begin with.
After some passing time you glance up at the clock once more, noticing your shift has come to an end. Finally. As you start to pack your stuff, getting ready to finally leave this hellhole. Your boss begins to approach with a grin on his quite wrinkly face. " Hey [Reader], you've done a pretty good job today, you're free to go home " Your boss praises you for your work which now has become a quite common occurrence for you at least. You continue to finish packing your things.
You give him a soft polite smile, keeping up the good worker façade despite how exhausted and bored out of your mind you are. Thanking him for his praises as you begin to speed up your pace towards the exit of the office building you work at. As you walked outside, closing the glass doors behind yourself, you felt the cold breeze of the night as you now looked up at the sky. It was a pretty night, the sky filled with many stars and the moon resting up high as pretty as ever. You begin to walk away from the building, only stopping for a mere second just to look back at the boring place you worked at one more time before heading back home to rest and get ready for another day in that hellhole. Looking at it, it was a pretty tall building but not as tall as most skyscrapers were around the area, it looked quite modern or at least tried to look like it while a bit dirty from the outside still resembling how old it is. Some new paint wouldn't be too bad.
You turn back to your path, away from your problems. Continuing to head back home, completely exhausted from your job. You begin to slowly make your turn to an alleyway you've never crossed before, in an attempt to get home faster. Taking such strange shortcuts it's not something you usually do but perhaps it was the tiredness getting to your mind causing you to be thinking much differently this night and making such foolish decisions. As you make your way through the alleyway you stepped into, you hear a strange noise coming from behind one of the dark green trash cans. Your curiosity now getting the best of you and you decide to investigate. So foolish.
As you make your way towards the big trash can, the strange sounds seem to only get louder and more disgusting. Despite all that you position yourself in a more comfortable position and decide to take a peek. You see a strange red animatronic that by looks appeared to be slightly taller than you. The animatronic reminds you of one of the daycare attendants in the Mega Pizzaplex nearby, you've been there before yet never saw or heard of this animatronic.
