(back at it again with another angst!! TW: implied suicide, bad writing)

It was a gloomy day, not a light in sight. Though it had stopped raining it was still cloudly. But she didn't mind, if anything she liked it that way. The worst thing that could happen to her right now is a bright and sunny day, actually.

...

A soft humming could be heard, a girl with dark purple hair tied into a loose bun holding the hand of a person with light purple hair tied into pigtails. They were both walking in a pathway leading to the sunflower field. They haven't gone on dates lately and so Mizuki proposed to have picnic at a flower field as a date!

It was a nice bright and sunny day, cicades could be heard everywhere. After walking for some time, Mafuyu spotted a black cat. She stopped walking and glanced at it, "Look" She muttered out while pointing at the cat. "Aww!" Mizuki said with a joyful tone, "It's so cute! I wanna pat it... Pspspsps..!~". The cat slowly walked up to Mizuki and got in between their legs.

"Ahhh!!! so adorable!!~~" By now, Mizuki has been echanted by this black cat and patted it. Mafuyu felt a little jelous as she also wants to pat the cat, she got infront of Mafuyu and crouched down. She slowly reached the cat with her left hand when all of a second..

CHOMP!

"..Ah-" She quickly pulled back her hand. "Woah! Mafuyu, are you alright?!" Mizuki asked worringly, "Hey, you stupid cat! You can't just go bite people around like that!!". The person with light pink hair quickly pushed the cat away with their leg. The black cat quickly ran away.

Mizuki got down to Mafuyu's level and held her left arm. "Eh.. this looks bad.." Mizuki commented on Mafuyu's bleeding finger, "It's fine.. It didn't really heard that much". Mizuki opened their purse and found a bandage, they then quickly wrapped around it on their lover's finger. "There!" They spoke out proudly, "All fixed up!~ You're welcome". Mizuki got up and lended Mafuyu a hand. "Let's get going~"

It had just finished raining so the road was slippery and covered in mud. She wasn't careful with her steps and so she slipped and landed on her bottoms. Mud got everywhere on their long black dress, hand, and some on her hair. The special item she was carrying also got ruined as she could feel water falling from the sky. Great.

They had arrived to their destination. The entrance was an arch covered with various types of flowers and other plantations. Mizuki quickly walked in with excitement while holding Mafuyu's hand who was less enthusiastic about it. There was a huge sunflower maze with a map next to the entrance of it. "We should take a picture of it" Said Mafuyu as she was about to pull out her phone. "Ah but it wouldn't be fun that way!" Mizuki said dissapointingly, "Let's do it blindly~". "What if we get stuck there for hours? That wouldn't be fun either" Mafuyu replied, taking a photo of the map. "..I wouldn't mind being stuck with you.." Mizuki said quietly while pouting. "Hm?" Said Mafuyu, "Nothing!" Mizuki replied back.

They finally got into the sunflower maze, some areas of it also had decorations meant for people taking photos. They ran into a mini mushroom house. "Let's take a picture here!" Mizuki spoke out enthusiastically. Mizuki crawled into the door of the house whereas Mafuyu crouched next to the Mizuki. After taking plenty of photos they resumed back walking.

In the very middle of the maze there are various types of flowers, foliage, and things to look at. Though they had a map, they kept getting lost somehow trying to reach the middle of the maze. "This map is totally whack!" Mizuki exclaimed, "Is this thing outdated?!". By this point they were tired. They had food and water with them but they were supposed to be for later when they finally reached the middle. Mafuyu grabbed water and handed it over to Mizuki, "Here, we should drink now" She said. "No! We're going to have drink and eat at the flower field..!!" Mizuki insisted, obviously dying of thirst. "We won't be having a picnic if you faint" Said Mafuyu, "Let's take a rest here".

They both walked at a conveniantly placed bench and sat down to take a breath. Mizuki suddenly stood up after just a few seconds of sitting, "Alright! My energy is replenished and i'm feeling well already~" They stated out loud. "No" Mafuyu pulled them back to the bench, "We are taking a proper break". Mizuki sighed and pouted.

After drinking a bottle of water and a few biscuits they took off. They finally was able to find their way after figuring out the map was flipped somehow. "Ah! I thought i would've never escaped that place..~" Mizuki exclaimed, pretty much exhausted.

It's been a while since it had happen. Maybe a year or two ago. But even then, she hasn't moved on. She felt that it was her fault for not noticing and only caring about herelf. She visits them frequently as a way to say sorry yet that makes her feel even more guilty about it.

They both found an empty spot easily as there was not much people around and placed down their picnic blanket. Mizuki took a deep breath of the fresh air while Mafuyu placed down the basket full of food. Mizuki sat down and helped Mafuyu taking out the dishes. It smelled divine, so much so Mizuki started drooling. Mafuyu couldn't help but giggle, "Let's eat now" She said softly.

After eating their starvation immidietly changed into being so full they couldn't walk. "Let's stay here for a bit.." Mafuyu muttered out, "Good.. idea.." Mizuki replied stuffed with food. They both layed down on the picnic blanket while talking to eachother. After a while Mafuyu felt heavy-eyed and soon she dozed off.

"Mafuyu.." She heard a soft voice, "Ma-Fu-Yu!~". She slowly opened her eyes to see that her lover was hovering on top of her, "Wake up, sleepyhead~" They said while getting off of Mafuyu. "Oh.. er, sorry" Mafuyu muttered out while rubbing her eyes. "No biggie~ ..You must've been really tired, huh?" Mizuki asked with a hint of concern. "This whole trip is tiring.." Mafuyu replied. "Well.. while you were sleeping.." Mizuki spoke out, something behind them, "I made you this!" they quickly pulled out what it was.

Mizuki was holding out a beautifully made flower crown. "Hehehe~ Whaddya think, hm?~" Mizuki said proudly, "Made it myself~". Mafuyu slowly took the flower crown, "It's.. beautiful" she said in awe, "T.. Thank you, Mizuki" She smiled looking at it. The flowers used are the color purple slowly transitioning into the color pink that Mizuki found around the flower field. "I love it so much" Mafuyu said quietly while putting it on. "Hah.. it looks more beautiful with it on you~" Mizuki teased which made Mafuyu flustered and looked away. "Thanks again.. and, i love you.." Said Mafuyu.

"I love you". That and "Goodbye" are the words she wished she was able to say to them. Her knees gets weaker and weaker as she slowly arrived to her destination. There she was infront of a headstone, the name "Mizuki Akiyama" written across it. There was times when it was easy visiting them. This time it was hard. As Mafuyu sobbed in the rain, she placed down a dirtied flower crow on top of the headstone where Mizuki's final rest is. Mafuyu sat down next to her lover as she shed tears to their passing.
