Episode 12: Forever Fall

Pyrrha's Pov

I stare at the night sky, Jaune is late getting to his dorm again.

Nora: Hey is it weird that Jaune gets home so late?

Ren: He's become rather scarce ever since he has been fraternizing with Cardin.

Nora: That's weird. Doesn't he know we have a field trip tomorrow? We need our rest!

Pyrrha: (aggressively) I'm sure our leader knows exactly what he's doing.

Nora and Ren turn to each other.

Nora: Hmmm, I guess so.

Jaune's Pov

I heard the whole conversation through the door. I sigh and slowly shut the door.

Ruby: Hey Jaune!

I jump a little and see Ruby in her Pajamas. 

Ruby: Long time no see.

Ruby: Did you lock yourself out again?

Jaune: Uh, Nope got it! *holds card*

Ruby: So where have you been lately? 

Jaune: I uh-

I sigh and look down.

Jaune: I messed up. I did something I shouldn't have and now Cardin has me on a leash and Pyrrha won't even talk to me. I'm starting to think coming to this school was a bad idea.

I slide down against the door.

Jaune: I'm a failure.

Ruby: Nope.

Jaune: Nope?

Ruby: Nope! You're a leader Jaune. You are not allowed to be a failure.

Jaune: But, what if I'm a failure at being a leader?

Ruby: Mmmmmmm. Nope!

I chuckle as Ruby sits next to me.

Jaune: You're not the easiest person to talk to about this kind of stuff.

Ruby: Nope!

I groan, she is worse than Sans.

Ruby: Jaune you may have been a failure when you were a kid.

I groan and slump.

Ruby: You may have even been a failure the first day we met.

I slump farther.

Ruby: But you can't be one now. Do you know why?

Jaune: Because-

Ruby: Because it's not just about you anymore. Because you have a team Jaune. We both do! Heck even Y/n has one! So, we can't fail Jaune otherwise we'll just bring them down with us. We have to put our teammates first-

She sits up and offers me a hand.

Ruby: And ourselves second. Your team deserves a great leader Jaune... And I think that can be you. Have a good night Jaune.

She goes to her dorm as I stand up. She's right! I can't let my team down! I turn to go see my team and fix this whol-
