Basically you as the reader have been kicked out by your parents because of your quirk (you'll see next chapter) due to the fact it seemed villainous to them. If was in fact opposite and quirk unknown to others.
You be been on the streets for about 4 years you been kicked out since the age of ten left on the streets to die. Instead you adjusted and were good and at stealing and getting away a till the you've heard of the UA entrance exams
Your current age is 14 and later will progress to 15 closer when entrance exams start.
But like I was saying before you had a run in with "certain" people and no running to not get caught.
