The butler opens the door to reveal the Van Dorts standing in front of it. Only William and Y/n look directly at the door, while Nell is a bit busy, fussing over Victor's outfit and stance.
"Look at the way you're standing. You look like you got wickets or something." Nell says as she straightens her son's coat before feeling a sharp nudge to her side.
"What the-?" she says as she whips around to look over at her mother, who nudges her to see her daughter Y/n.
Y/n does not look at her mother as she lightly coughs and gestures her head toward the open door, causing Nell to look immediately at the door to the parents of her future daughter-in-law and look directly at them.
Nell nervously chuckles as Figaro, from Y/n's shoulder, mockingly laughs in its caws as the family of four walks into the home of the Everlots.
"Oh, my goodness. Oh, such grandeur! Such impeccable taste!" Nell says in a posh accent as they look around the very empty home.
The butler sniffs in disgust as the Van Dort family walks past them before stepping back a bit as Figaro, from Y/n's shoulder, tries to bite at the butler, scarring the man as the bird mockingly laughs like Nell.
"It's not as big as our place, dear." He comments as he and his wife walk in front of their twins.
"Mm. A little bit shabby, really, isn't it?" He says towards his children before receiving a light smack from his wife's hand fan on the shoulder.
"Oh, shut up." She quickly and quietly mutters as they walk up the couple's stairs.
"Introducing Lord and Lady Everlot." The butler says, causing both Maudeline and Finis to stand a pit proudly as they are introduced.
"Mr. And Mrs. Van Dort," the butler says as he gestures his hand toward the family of four.
William takes a little step forward. "Why, you must be Miss Victoria," he says as he lifts his hat off his head in a gesture at Maudeline. "Oh, yes, I must say you don't look a day over 20," he says with a wink before receiving another wack from his wife.
Maudeline raises an eyebrow before leaning her head a little to the side towards her short husband.
"Smile, darling," she says quietly, causing Finis to try to form a smile that looks weird like someone had stretched it on one side.
"Well, hello. What a pleasure. Welcome to our home," Finis says with fake enthusiasm as he regards the Van Dorts.
"Oh, ho, Ho! Thank you," Nell says bashfully as she uses her hand fan to fan herself.
Y/n lays a comforting hand on the back of her mother, who quietly hums to her in gratitude for her daughter's support.
"We'll be having tea in the west drawing room," Maudeline said as she gestured her hand towards the drawing room before leading the group alongside her husband.
"Oh, do come this way. It's just through there." She says calmly as she walks alongside Finis as they walk in front of William, Nell, Y/n, and Victor.
"Ohhh, I love what you've done with the place," Nell says as she looks around the decorations before looking at her daughter with a bit of excitement.
This causes Y/n to smile with the same amount of excitement as she walks a bit slower behind her parents.
"Nice tiles. Shame about the drapes," he comments as the twins walk slower behind the group.
Their father's comment causes Victor to roll his eyes as he and Y/n share a knowing look.
As they listen half-heartedly to their parents' comments, a sudden soft piano note plays, causing the twins to look towards the noise and see Victor's hands were accidentally resting on a beautiful grand piano.
