Haewon's Pov:

"Seungcheol? Are you okay?" I ask getting a bit concerned for him

As I questioned him, he immediately got on his knees and started crying, he was crying so hard he even got hiccups.

Seeing his current state I didn't know how to react, the strong Seungcheol I once knew had completely vanished.

I got down to his level and lightly grabbed his shoulders.

"Seungcheol?? Why are you crying?" I questioned but he didn't response
"Seungcheol?" I called him again but he kept looking down and sobbing.

I turned back to Jun who was standing behind me and gestured him to go inside and wait for me. He hesitated first but soon after, he went inside mouthing 'take care'. I know Jun also cares for Seungcheol, but he just doesn't show it.

Now it was only the two of us left in the lonely street. I looked at Seungcheol who still had his head low and continued sniffing.

"Seungcheol look at me" this time I spoke louder, but as he didn't respond,
I immediately cupped his cheeks and made him look at me.

His eyes were on me now, I could see the dark circles around his eyes, his chapped lips and his pale face which was once flawless.

"Hey! What happened to you? Aren't you eating meals and sleeping in time?" I asked him hoping that he will answer this time and he did reply

"I'm sorry for being a Jerk" was all he said before letting out a faint smile on his lips.

"You should be Sorry, but it was all in the past. You need to move on from the things which hurts you, you know" I tell him, speaking of which I don't really care about what he did to me. Yeah it extremely hurted and worsened my mental health but, we should let go and forgive right? Afterall he was my best friend.

"I was expecting you to beat me, slap me and shout at me, but you reacted just the opposite" he commented on my actions

"That's because you're my best friend Idiot and I forgive you for what you did to me. So stop crying now" I smiled at him but he got stiffened and just looked into my eyes.

Seungcheol's Pov :

"That's because you're my best friend Idiot and I forgive you for what you did to me. So stop crying now" she replied with a smile on her face.

I couldn't process her words, I hurted her and I deserve to get beaten up but this.... she she said she forgave me.

She is truly an angel.
But even though she forgave me but I wont even forgive myself for my deeds.

I just kept looking at her while suddenly....she engulfed me in a hug.
Her Hug, was one of the things I missed the most, I couldn't control my tears and one again I sobbed.

She kept patting my back reassuring that Its okay meanwhile, I just sniffled my cries in her embrace.

We broke the hug and she looked at me
"Are you okay now?" She asked
I just nodded in response
"You sure?"
And I nodded again

I wanted to say something to her but I kept hesitating. So I finally mustered up my courage and chose to speak

"Uhm, H-Haewon? Can I tell you something?" *why tf did i stutter*, I mentally facepalmed myself.

"Go ahead" she replied back
"Can we- can we g-get back again?" I let out the words finally, feeling embarrassed

"No Seungcheol, I can't." she replied
I looked at her, this time she wasn't smiling anymore, her face looked dead serious.

"You broke my heart when you had the chance. No matter what you did, I never stopped loving you. I was present everytime you needed me. Despite of all these, in the end I just got betrayed" she commented and I couldn't speak anymore, I got really embarassed because I knew what she told was the truth.

"And to be frank, I'm happier now, I got 11 more friends out there who actually care for me and Jun....he just filled the missing part of my heart. I'm madly in love with Him." she confessed and at this point, I just smiled at her. I had nothing more to say about the fact that JUN actually won in life.

"I'm happy for you Haewon, once again I'm sorry for my deeds. I-I should leave now, Jun must be waiting for you, go go" I replied and slightly pushed her inside the gate.

"I should get going, Good night and Take care" I bidded her
"Same goes to you" she bidded back
I just smiled brightly and nodded at her before walking away...

Haewon's Pov:

I saw the pain in his eyes but he should really move on from the past.

I know Seungcheol, he will get back to his old self and I believe in him that he'll heal.

Just like that he walked away from me and disappeared at a point.

I let out the tears I've been holding and sobbed for a while before entering the house.

And the night passed away just like that...
