Scott.
I stood from my seat, clapping my hands hard along with the rest of the garage.
I hugged Maddy's dad tightly, his cheers morphing into one with the others in the garage who were celebrating.
P10, just in the points for Maddy, with Jack P11.
An amazing start for the first race with this team, everyone was ecstatic, hugging each other in the garage as I look around for Charlie who was stood beside her Nanny, Betty, with a headset on, looking around rather confused.
"Did Maddy win?" she asked me, her eyes big as I took her headphones off, picking her up, "no she didn't, but she did in my books," I poked her stomach, making her giggle.
I followed the garage out towards the entrance of the pit lane where the cars were parked, carrying Charlie on my hip, trying to keep up with everyone.
I notice Lewis against the barriers and shove my way through to him.
"Madeline," he beams at me, pulling me in for a hug before diverting his attention to Charlie who was calling his name over and over again.
"Uncle Lewis!" she squealed as I handed her over.
Bailey Wright P1 – Ferrari
Conrad Emmons P2 – Mercedes
Lily Hughes P3 – Mercedes
I looked over the barrier, past the pole positioned cars at the front, waiting to see Maddy. I could see her car, but she was still sat inside, the drivers behind her patting her on the head.
My heart warmed as they did, all shaking her hand as she finally pulled herself up and out.
Jack was stood waiting by her car, his arms flailing around as he looked to be annoyed with her. He near enough shoved her back against the car as he shoved his finger into her chest.
"Watch her for a minute?" I look back at Lewis as he bounced Charlie around, he nods his head as I fight my way through the cheering crowd and towards the cars.
I could hear the two of them screaming at each other by the time I was a few feet away from them, my fists clenched at my sides, hoping there were no cameras around to capture this.
"You fucking cut me off!" Jack screamed at her, towering above her as he spoke while her eyes glared at him through her helmet.
"I did not, there was a space and that Williams kid cut me off, you had enough time to react!" she yelled back, standing her ground.
I gave them both a gentle shove to catch their attentions and they cleared their throats, standing up straight as I glared at the pair of them.
"Grow up, the pair of you, you don't discuss the race if you're unhappy until we're in the hub, there are cameras around," I yelled at the two of them, the grandstands behind them now making their way onto the track for the podium.
"Yes mam," they both said.
I moved aside, letting the pair of them pass, Maddy shoving Jack out of the way so she could walk in front.
I tried not to smile as I watched her flipping her off from behind, but I couldn't help myself from feeling proud of her.
After the weigh in's we all huddled under the podium, waiting for the drivers to come out.
"Bailey is fast," Maddy said from beside me as we both looked up, watching as Conrad and Lily came out, the crowd cheering loudly, Lewis looking up at the pair of them like a proud farther.
