In the heart of the East, where the sun first peeks,
Lies a language that in whispers and roars speaks,
Filipino, in its splendor breathes and sings,
A mirror of culture, from simple to royal beings.

It tells tales of farmers, hands kissed by the sun,
Of fishermen at dawn, their day’s work begun.
It echoes the laughter of children at play,
In the golden fields, at the break of day.

From the highlands of Cordillera, cool and serene,
To the shores of Boracay, so vividly green,
In every kubo, in every grand hall,
Filipino language lives, echoing in all.

Through the dance of baybayin, each character a story,
In the lilt of kundiman, in all its glory,
The language unfolds, vibrant and alive,
Like the sarimanok’s flight, in the sky it thrives.

Each syllable, each term, a precious gem,
In our linguistic crown, they form the stem.
From “kapwa,” “bayanihan,” to “kamustahan”,
Our culture shines forth in each conversation.

Through the balagtasan’s rhythmic, rhyming dance,
The language evolves, given half a chance.
In the sagas of our heroes, in love’s sweet refrain,
In the healing prayer, in the farmer’s rain.

This is our tongue, our song, our voice,
A testament to our past, in it we rejoice.
Filipino language, rich and profound,
In its depth, our cultural heritage is found.

So let us treasure, let us keep,
This language that in our hearts runs deep.
For as long as we speak, as long as we hear,
Our culture lives on, year after vibrant year.
