Forever Young // M.E.

Getting Ready

It was June 10, 2015 12:14 pm and I was barely waking up. The first thing I do is check my phone and I see that I have 5 messages from my friend Kim and 3 from Rene. I open Kim's first.
Messages :
~Jaz?
~Jaaazzz?!
~AYYYY!?
~You awake my love.?
~JASMINE!!!!!!?
I laugh at the messages and I reply with attitude
Messages :
~WHAT THEE HELL DO YOU WANT MY LOVE.?!
After I reply I look at Renes.
Messages :
~Jaz.?
~AYYY.!
~DONKEY.!?
I laugh again at the messages like only my friends would do something like this. Seconds later I get a message from Rene saying to come outside. I'm still in my pajamas but oh well. I walk down stairs and out my front door and I see Rene in the passenger seat of Kim's 1967 black mustang that she got on her 16th birthday.
"Go get dressed and hop in" Rene smirks at me. I nod and run back to my room tripping on the stairs. I wonder where we are going. They don't usually do stuff like this so I'm kind of worried.
Once I'm in my room I go to my closet and pick out a plain white crop top and blue washed high waisted shorts and my white converse. I change into them an go to my bathroom and brush my teeth and my hair and wash my face. Once I'm done I grab my navy blue flannel and tie it around my waist. I unplug my phone from the charger and grab my wallet and walk downstairs. I walk to the kitchen and see my sister sitting at the dining table.
"Hey sis do you know where mom is.?" I ask and she turns around and gives me a glare
"Why don't you try looking before asking. Damn your so lazy, I swear" she says harshly. My sister I believe who hates my guts has attitude with whatever I ask her.
"You don't have to have attitude" I say and start walking back upstairs.
"You don't have to be a brat" I hear her say back. I just keep walking and go to my moms room. I knock on her door and get no answer. I knock again and still get no answer. I knock one more time and get no answer but I hear footsteps getting closer to the door. Seconds later the door swings open and I'm face to face with my mom.
"what do you want?!" She harshly says.
"I just wanted to say that I'll be out for the day." I softly say.
"Okay, is that it?" She asks obviously annoyed. I nod and she slams her door. I feel tears brim my eyes but I let it go and blink my eyes fast to dry my eyes. Me and my mom don't have the best relationship but she is my mom after all and I know she loves me she just doesn't show it as much. I get to the car and hop in the back and put my seatbelt on and when I look up Kim and Rene are looking at me.
"You okay?" Kim asks. I nod and they turn around and put they're seatbelt back on.
"Okay but know if there is something you can tell us Jaz" Rene says.
"I know, thank you guys but I'm fine" I give a fake smile and nod. They both give me a smile and Kim starts driving.
30 minutes in the drive Rene says to close my eyes and when I ask why she says its a surprise which scares me because they're surprises are actually pranks. But I do so anyways and about ten minutes later I feel the car stop and I get dragged out the car and I find my balance.
"Can I open my eyes now?" I ask
"Yes" Kim and Rene say in unison and when I open my eyes the biggest smile appears on my face.
