After what seemed like endless hours of dancing, Carly begrudgingly replaced her silver heels with flats and finally decided to send everyone back home. The wedding had already been over for 5 hours, after all; it was time to rest.
"There's my beautiful bride," Freddie chirped in, making his way over to the table she just sat at and returning her smile with a soft kiss on her lips. "So, you finally ready to head home?"
"I guess so," Carly sighed, her shoulders slumped which obviously got a kick out of Freddie. "I was just having such a good time on our wedding day, and now it's over just like that? Wish time travel was real."
"Believe me, I'd live it all over again too if I could," Freddie followed, taking a seat next to her and grabbing a hold of her hands. "But it's not quite over just yet." There was a glint in his eyes when he finished.
Her eyebrows quirked up, Carly replied, "And what exactly do you have planned, Benson?"
"Well I can't just tell you, it'll ruin the surprise," Freddie retorted, pressing his lips on hers once again before chuckling once he took in her expression.
"Oh, you're just cruel, you know that?" Carly crossed her arms the same sassy way she would when they were younger, and Freddie was obsessed with it every time.
"Okay fineee, if you insist. But I won't tell you, it's better if you see it for yourself," he smirked in a mischievous way that doesn't occur often. With a puzzled look on her face, Carly opened her mouth to reply once more before being lifted up bridal-style in a fit of shock and giggles. She finally let herself be and happily wrapped her arms around his neck, nuzzling her face in the crook of his neck.
"Come on, the surprise is at home and I don't want to waste another second," Freddie said before kissing her forehead, looking around the venue once more to make sure they were alone before tickling her in his embrace, all while still carrying her.
