I was fidgeting my fingers, not knowing what to do. Because what was here to do? I am a teenager who was kidnapped and is now held captive by a man who is asking to get married. The situation was beyond ridiculous.
"[y/n], please... Say something," he whispered, desperate to hear an answer.
Minutes passed and I still didn't utter a word. I just stared at the space behind him. I wasn't even thinking about anything. I didn't want to speak to him.
But something must have cracked in me because after a while I spoke:
"Daichi, your offer is... unacceptable for me," I looked into his eyes with seriousness. In his, I could see the fear of being rejected.
He looked like a child at this moment. As if asking his mom for a sweet treat in the shop and hoping she would agree. That was him right there and then.
"What are you speaking of?" his voice was shaking.
"Look at me and you, at our relationship. Do you think all this would happen if you didn't kidnap me?" I put pressure on the word 'kidnapped'. What did he think of it truly? That he just took me and now we were a happy couple? He must be out of his mind.
"W-what?" I could see tears in his eyes, afraid I would leave him.
Man-child...
"Daichi... No, Mr Nakamura... We can't be together and you know it. It's wrong in every way possible," I spoke carefully and clearly, watching his reaction to my words. In any second he could snap and do horrible things.
"Don't Mr Nakamura me now, [y/n]. After all that we've been through? Why can't you get it?! I love you! It won't ever change! I promise to be good to you, just please..." he stepped closer to me and cupped my face. "Say yes."
"I... I can't," now, I was the one with tears in my eyes.
"At least, give it some time to think," he kissed my forehead so gently that almost made me forget it was the same man that kidnapped and tortured me. "Please?"
"I will think about it..." I sighed, giving in, but more out of fear than a real desire to do so.
It must have made him happy because he picked me up and swung me around. It surprised me how easily it seemed to him to do so.
Just minutes ago he seemed to be almost depressed or furious about what I have said. I could never really get his mood swings.
"You will not regret it. I will prove you that I'm worthy of you and your love, I promise."
I'm already afraid of what he has in his mind...

"Come in," I stated without any emotion, having heard the knock on the door of my office. "Ah, it's you again."
"S-sorry to bother you, sir, but if you just listened—"
"Akimitsu, no. We can't just barge into the man's house without any reason."
"There is a reason!" the younger man slammed his hands on the desk, which surprised me. "He is holding the girl hostage! I feel it, sir!"
The outburst made me grow silent and think through his proposition again.
He has the point that the man was weird and suspicious to me as well... But I still can't do anything.
"Akimitsu, as much as I agree with you, I mustn't agree - our boss might fire me for that," I explained calmly.
"I understand..." he answered with a sad look and his eyes turned downwards. After a moment he continued. "Sir, there's yet another thing."
I nodded my head for him to not stop speaking.
"Have you noticed something off about Daki?" he asked, which caused me to pause for a moment to think. When he saw my confusion, he gave me a hint. "Recall her last name."
Last name...? What does it have to do with—
"Nakamura?!" I yelled, standing up from my seat from the sudden realization.

"...[y/n]," I could hear Daichi murmuring in his sleep. Since our talk, he decided it would be great idea to just cuddle for the rest of the day. However, he also said he had planned something for the evening. Something special.
This made me so nervous that when we hugged each other, more like he was hugging me, I couldn't do anything but think what he had in his mind.
It could be anything, really. He was unpredictable. And that made the situation I was in even more nerve wrecking.
I suddenly felt a big squeeze around my waist. It was really strong grip, which made me gasp. This however made the man wake up.
"Are you okay...?!" he looked concerned. Genuinely concerned.
I knew he loved me, but I couldn't really bring myself to accept this feeling from. Not even because of the things he has done, but just something inside of me was screaming that I did not deserve it.
"You squeezed me a bit to hard," he immediately apologized. I sighed, "it's alright... Just, can you please be gentler?"
"Of course, darling," he kissed my neck and there was a moment of silence between us. I decided to break it with the nagging me question.
"Daichi... why do you love me?" I asked, turning around to look him in the eyes.
"Huh? 'Why' you ask..." he seemed to think for a bit until he took my hand and kissed it. "It's because you're perfect in every and any aspect I can think of"
I expected him to answer like that, which didn't satisfy me enough. I grimaced and nagged him to explain a bit more.
"I truly don't know... I just look at you and think 'wow, God must have sent me an angel'. I just know that you are someone I want to spend the rest of my life with. If I were to choose everyone and you, I would always choose you, [y/n]"
The more he spoke, the more tears were building up in my eyes. No one has ever shown me this mush of love as he did. It's not like I started feeling something for him. It's just that I wouldn't ever think I could be loved like that by someone.
By someone so horrible, yet beautiful.
"No, don't cry, darling. It makes your pretty eyes red," he leaned in closer to me and kissed away my tears. I didn't know what to do, so I did the only thing I could think of.
I hugged him and poured my heart out into his chest while he shushed me and repeatedly told me he loved me.
"I think you're the worst, yet best thing that has every happened to me," I spoke, when I calmed down. "And I don't know what to do with that."
He must have been taken aback by my words, because he didn't say anything and just stared at me in shock. He then cupped my face and pecked my lips, whispering:
"Just give me a chance"
