"Where were you girls? I told you to not go anywhere other than the mall but you still left the guards and went somewhere else." said Asmat Khan, Zaynab's mother.

Being the pampered girl Aira was, never having got in trouble before in her life, was scared to her wits.

"Ammi, I couldn't find matching jewellery so we went to the bazaar." Zaynab quickly replied to her mother.

"And why were you both not answering our calls?" Asmat continued questioning.

"Badi ammi, Zaynab's phone was dead and my phone was on silent. I promise we won't ever go anywhere without your permission again." Aira said as her bottom lip quivered in fear and her eyes glistened with tears.

A little someone couldn't help but smile looking at Aira's scared state over such a trivial matter.

"Silly girl why are you about to cry? I haven't even punished you both yet." Asmat said feeling bad for scaring the girl.

Both girls stilled upon hearing the word 'punishment' and looked at each fearing about what was to happen.

"You both have to......" Asmat prolonged the silence, scaring the girls.

"Ammi I'm really sorry, we'll never do it again. Ammi please forgive us, please don't punish us." Zaynab rambled on before her mother could announce their punishment.

"Let me at least finish my sentence silly girl. You both have to overlook the decorations for the Mehndi, there better not be a single mistake." Asmat finished with a smile as she couldn't help but admit she enjoyed scaring the girls.

Both girls sighed and a smile broke on their faces. They were supposed to overlook the decorations for the Mehndi as it was an all girls function and they both took responsibility for it anyways.

"Badi ammi you scared us. I thought you were going to punish us. I was about to cry." feeling lighthearted, Aira complained with a pout.

Asmat couldn't help but smile at the innocent girl. "I would never punish my girls, I was really scared when we couldn't reach you two, don't ever do that again. I even called Zayaan and I was about to send him out to find you both. Okay go and sort out your shopping bags now." Asmat said and dismissed the girls.

Aira's ears perked up when she heard Chote Khan's name and she finally noticed the figure sitting on the sofa next to Badi ammi. He was the same guy she ran into yesterday. He was looking at her and smiling, 'is he making fun of me for getting shouted at?' Aira questioned herself. Aira felt herself getting scared as she looked into his black orbs. She shivered and looked away.

"Aira, what are you thinking about? Let's get going and organise our shopping." Zaynab whispered getting Aira's attention and both girls hurriedly walked upstairs to Zaynab's room.

Zayaan snickered as he saw Aira getting scared and running off with Zaynab.

Unknowingly to Zayaan, Asmat saw the glint in his eyes as he stared at Aira.

I'm going to change the way Aira calls Zaynab's mother, Asmat Khan. She's going to call her "Badi Ammi" instead of "Badi Begum. I'm going to edit the previous chapters and change it too. The rest of the servants including Aira's parents will still call her "Badi Begum".

Another chapter, happy reading guys🤍
