Northern England, Summer 1963.
A school bus belonging to Coal Hill School in London arrived at a summer camp.
The students were chatting with their friends and being noisy, except for one girl.
She was taller than the other girls in her class, she had short raven hair and lightened blue eyes, just like her grandfather.
Her name, or at least, her alias among humans is Susan Foreman.
Susan wasn't a human, she was a Time Lady from the planet Gallifrey who had recently arrived on Earth a couple of months ago with her grandfather and was now attending Coal Hill School, thrilled to see human life from a closer look.
However, it wasn't going on as planned. Due to her being a literal alien therefore a bit ignorant about the trends of 1963 Earth and her shy personality, Susan hasn't befriended anyone in her class, only mocked and been labelled as a "weirdo".
However, she felt motivated that this school trip will be an opportunity to befriend somebody. Yes, she will have tons of fun there!
...Or maybe not.
The school bus stopped at the entrance of the summer camp
"Well then." Mr. Anderson, a blonde man in his mid 40s and the English teacher at Coal Hill spoke, "We have arrived, pick your stuff up and go to your cabins."
The students got their bags and rushed outside.
"Wow...Look at this place!" one of the boys said, amazed by the camp.
"That lake is huuge!" another one said.
"Indeed. Everyone, welcome to Camp Fallen Sun, your home for this week." Mr. Anderson said, "The boys will sleep in that cabin on the right, while the girls will stay in the cabin near the lake."
"Okay, Mr. Anderson!" Everyone said, as they went to their respective cabin.
Inside the Girls' cabin, it was quite dusty and large enough for 10 people living in.
Susan, due to her Time Lady biology, didn't need to sleep much like humans and could go sleepless for nearly a year, so she took the farthest bed from the others.
"This place is cool, isn't it?" One of the girls said.
"Yeah, as it is dusty." Another one chuckled.
The girls kept chatting about school, the place, boys...Stuff like that. While Susan minded her own business, looking outside.
One of her "roommates" noticed that, and went to chat with Susan.
"Oi, yer name is Susan, right?" She spoke.
Susan turned around and saw the girl. She was quite tall and mature-looking. She had long red hair, brown eyes and tanned skin, she was wearing a white shirt and dungarees, along with black boots.
"O-Oh, y-yes, yes I am." The teenaged Time Lady panicked, not used to her classmates talking to her. "Y-You're a new classmate too, right?"
"Yeah, the name's Sam Smith, nice to meet ya." Sam grinned, revealing her pointy fags. "I see ya here all alone, so I thought ya wouldn't mind sum company."
Susan sheepishly smirked, "Well...You're right, I don't mind it at all."
"The others are plannin' to do a bonfire tonight, the teacher was fine with it. Wanna join?" Sam asked.
