History:
Asahi was born to a father who is an Ackermann and an Asian mother. Before her parents' death, she lived peacefully with them in the farmlands of Wall Maria along with her younger sister Mikasa.
Asahi, and later Mikasa, underwent a painful scarring ritual from her mother, who cut into her skin the mark of their family and was taught a unique style of embroidery.
Being the last of their race made them high value targets to human traffickers, who killed Asahi's parents and attempted to kidnap her and Mikasa for the purpose of selling them as a slave to the people in the Capital when she was only fifteen years old.
Unlike Mikasa who was taking to a holding location, Asahi was handed straight over to a buyer who was waiting for her.
Asahi was taken into the Capital where she lived in the cellar of a house where she was treated very badly by the individual. But within six months, Asahi was living on the streets and the individual that had bought her was found dead in his home. This event awakened the fighting instincts and perfect self-control that would later turn her into a formidable fighter.
Following this, Asahi fled the Capital and beyond Wall Sina in search of her sister.
Between Wall Rose and Wall Maria, Asahi unwittingly wandered into a village that was suffering from an epidemic and was the last to catch the sickness.
