Iruma's Obscure Ally

Not again

Heels clicked as the knight would down the corridor of Iruma's mind, many doors filled the hallway with placards noting the time and date they lead to. The knight is feels a little uneasy at the invasion of his new master's mind but the memory of seeing his master shaking and quietly weeping while sleeping flooded the knights thoughts so onward he went. 

The deeper the knight went the worse the condition of the corridor became, beginning with being fully lit with soft blue lanterns and architecture resembling that of the demon realm. But now much farther in it was sparsely lit with crimson flames on sticks, the walls looked to be stone overtaken by vegetation and doors that looked to be barely hanging into there hinges. Finally the knight reacted what they considered the 'worst' part, little to no light besides the ones coming from the cracks in the chained up doors, chains hung from the ceiling attached to shackles at the ends some having spikes at there ends with trickles of blood falling from them. The knight picked up the pace until they heard crying coming from one of the chained up doors, unsurprisingly the door didn't what to open so the knight called for there sword and swung it towards the chains only for them to show no damage at all, the knight grew increasingly angry as their eyes flashed a deep purple and grew to there much larger size changing the sword to that of a claymore and swung again to again show absolute no damage to the chains, the knights eyes flashed a deep crimson and their form shifted once more losing it's 'humanoid' shape and readying another strike before stopping at the sound of Iruma's crying. The knight shrank back down and walking up to the door and knocking on it, the crying stopped and silence followed for a long time before a small "please go away" came from the other side of the door, the knight knocked again but this time no answer came yet that did not deter the knight so they knocked again, and again the was no answer. The knight decided to sit there and wait until they remembered about the note pad and pen Iruma gave them to talk with, searching their armor only to find the pen and not the note pad, they grumbled but had an idea as they took on of their pouches and ripped it up making several pieces. 

A small piece was slid under the door with the word "No" on it, "why?" asked the voice on the other side as a long pause came from the knight before another note slid under the door "Because I care" sniffling came from the other side for a minute before a new note slid under "Would you like to discus it?" a minute passed before "n- no". The knight pause to contemplate what to ask with their final piece of leather but knew the perfect response as a small note slid under, the knight waited before a small click was heard on the other side of the door and the chains slid down the door and opened to reveal a small child with tattered clothing on and blue hair the other side, the knight kneeled and opened their arms out to the child as the child sobbed and ran into the knights arms, the sobs where muffled as the child cried into the knights fur lined collar. The knight gently lifted the child and comforted him the best they could as they stood and looked into the room sparks of purple came from the knights eyes but decided to turn around and walk towards the beginning of the corridor as their concern was with helping the child rather than going on a rampage. As the duo reacted the beginning the child sob's have nearly stopped as he asked "W- where are we going?" the knight brought him to an empty wall before snapping to reveal a new door made of shadow, the child look a little scared but trusted the knight as they opened the door to reveal a vast empty field which confused the child, the knight set down the child and snapped his fingers again to summon a small note pad and wrote down "What would you like to do first?" "What can we do?" the child asked before the knight chuckled as they snapped once more to make a kingdom far to their right with a dragon flying high above, a city full of lights and speeding cars to their far left, and finally a winding dirt path leading into a dense forest in front of them "Anything" a new note said as the child beamed with pure excitement. 

"Tonight will be a good dream" 

Iruma woke to a feeling of pure bliss before that feeling was shattered by the new hell clock installed into his room "AHHHH" yelped Iruma as he fell out of bed but was luckily caught by Shadie "Oh uhhh ... Thank you" Iruma's face told the whole story as it bloomed with pure embarrassment. Within a few minute Iruma was ready for the first 'official' day of school with Shadie hiding within his shadow, as he walk down stairs he felt something was off until he was bombarded with affection by Ojiichan "Oh Iruma let's have breakfast" and as usual Iruma just couldn't say no to his grandfather. As they at Iruma noticed a new demon behind Ojiichan "Who is that Ojiichan?" Iruma asked "Oh this is my servant Opera, if you need anything he will take care of it" as Iruma was going to introduce himself he felt rumbling and looked down to see his shadow with two glowing blue eyes "O-Oh Shadie Opera is nice no need to be aggressive" Iruma stated trying to calm the knight, after slightly calming Shadie Iruma was given many different gifts to celebrate his first day. 

*30 Mins later* 

Iruma finally arrived to Babyls only to be met with the bright smile of Asmodeus "Good Morning, Lord Iruma" Asmodeus say with pure joy "Oh good morning Asmodeus" "Oh milord address me as 'Azz' instead, now let me carry your bag" Iruma could feel the stares of other students as Azz-kun knelt in front of him "No thank you, lets just get to class" Iruma said in a panic as he started to walk into the school. "Familiar summoning" Iruma questioned "It's a tradition within Babyls, as a students initial rank will be determined by the quality of the familiar. Yet that won't matter for you since your familiar is extremely powerful so you have no need to worry" "my familiar?" Iruma questioned "Yes the one within you shadow, that ... knocked me out yesterday" Azz-kun says defeated to which Iruma looked down to see Shadie 'smiling' "Shadie that's not nice" Shadie's eyes closed leaving Iruma's shadow bare as they reached the room. The room was extremely formal with first years littered through out the room having many types of conversations, A moment later the door's burst open to reveal a large looming figure "silence" with that all conversation within the room stopped "I am Kalego Naberius, the supervisor for this summoning" As he speaks he walks up to the huge summoning circle in the room "I have always been charged with leading the initial summoning, why? Because I'm always serious and will be the one who decides if you're useless trash or somewhat useful trash" he scans the room as he talks "For example" he continues while walking up to Iruma "If there was trash amongst you who would take advantage of their grandfathers influence to chant a vulgar spell in a place of honor while within the same day also instigate a brawl that would instantly make them subject to DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS" the malice coming from Kalego was almost choking "That means any failure will mean immediate expulsion" he states while spinning on his heels and walking away from Iruma. 

Iruma could barely hear explanation of the summoning ritual as he was to focused on calming down, he looked down to see Shadie making shadow puppets to help him calm down, It helped a little as he saw a little bunny hopping around and a mimicry of Ojiichan, the little show was interrupted by Kalego shooting a hole into some 'cute' explanation board as the summoning's have begun and Kalego started to line up the students. It looked as if all they had to do was burn a piece of parchment and they summon a familiar "That easy?" As they continued many different kind of creatures immerge from the circle much too Iruma's amazement, "Lord Iruma!" Azz-kun called out having just summoned an enormous snake with horns, wings, and a flame at the tip of it's tail called a Gorgon snake "WOW YOU'RE AMAZING, AZZ-KUN" "You are too kind milord". Kalego was looking at the two as they talked "I'd expect nothing less from a member of the Asmodeus family. It's hard to believe that he lost that honor student, Iruma, we'll see soon". Iruma hesitated as he walked up to the center of the circle "How am I going to do this?" Iruma thought and looked down to see Shadie's eyes, a small note floated to the surface of the shadow "Drop the parchment into the shadow" another soon followed "I will take care of the rest" Iruma reread them just to confirm and dropped the parchment onto the shadow, for a moment nothing happened until it sunk into the shadow and the flames that surrounded the room where snuffed out plunging the room into darkness, light soon immerged from the center of the circle as a brilliant blue flame lit the candle showing Iruma's shadow extending out reaching the wall that was still obscured by the cover of darkness. Three blue orbs lit up that towered over all within the room, more candles were lit up revealing the hulking shadow with an undefinable form that shifted every moment, then it started to move towards the circle as it's form shifted faster and faster, some students where getting worried as he came closer until it stopped across from Iruma finally settling on it's calm knight form and reached for its right pouch just to remember that it was torn a part, grabbing something from it's left the knight held up the parchment which had Kalego's sigil drawn on it and burned it while escaping into Iruma's shadow, A blinding flash of light exploded out from the candle and it the candles place was a portal that had Kalego popping out of it, "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!".
