As said from before. Kronos, now the king of the sky, rules over the realm.

Happily ever after.

Just kidding.

The time Kronos ruled was called the Golden Age, where everyone did the right thing and there was no need for rules.

Gaia had a new consort, Pontus (the sea) and they birthed a lot of living creatures.

Happily ever after.

Right????

No.

Kronos took Rhea as his wife, and together they were the king and queen of the sky.

Marriage.

It equals to happily ever after.

Nope. Marriage is normally a disaster in Greeco-Roman Mythology.

According to Hesiod, Kronos never freed the one eyed dudes and the hundred handed dudes. Still, the Bibliotheca stated he freed them and then imprisoned them in Tartarus, setting the dragon Campe to guard them.

I'm not sure which one is the correct version as I'm not thaaat old to know. In either way, the Cyclops and the Hecatoncheires were still imprisoned.

Gaia was extremely furious and cursed Kronos to be overthrown by his own children, just like how he did to his father.

(Note : interesting mom, she curses her own son for not freeing her other children )

Kronos became paranoid and became tyranny and wanted to prevent his children from overthrowing him.(That's why we shouldn't overthink)

Everytime Rhea had a kid,  Kronos, being paranoid, gobbles up the poor deity. <Hmm weird, he should just avoid having kids>

When Rhea was pregnant for the sixth time, she was certain to not let Kronos gobble up her kid. She already lost Demeter, Hades , Hera, Hestia and Poseidon, she totally wasn't going to lose this child , namely Zeus.

Rhea had a plan. She hid Zeus in Crete, asking the nymphs and Kouretes there to look after him, the fairy goat Amalthea to feed him with her milk.

She then returned to Kronos, gave him a rock wrapped in Zeus' clothes and Kronos, (not suspecting) swallowed a rock. (Look before you eat!)

And Zeus grew up in Crete, unbeknownst of the things that happened.
