Blind faith

You were the symbol of a god, a mortal being revered like he who watches over us himself, yet this corrupted your soul, made it turn an ugly black, void of the white it vowed to keep.

You've culled your faith, greedy and morbid in your reason, yet your words ring true of his intentions, masking your true ideals.

You paint your faith as true, and we follow. Yet your delusions of being his "only one", his only "true" believer are twisted. A faith blind to what faith truly means, a single-winged angel.

Half fallen from grace, half still within his gaze, you believe yourself more than a messenger. You believe yourself as the only diviner of his words, his only child.

Your greed corrupted you, and when the end of times came you were the only one to suffer. Punishment for your sins, a blindfold over your eyes as he abandoned you in your delusion, speaking words not of his faith, but of your own.

The carrier of divine punishment, the one-winged angel. The embodiment of why you don't lie to a primordial god, why you can't.

They see all, omnipotent as they are omnipresent, all-seeing yet rarely all-doing. A power they yield that could tear apart the very fabric of reality we behold, only to piece it back again. Yet they exhibit control, a calm suppression of their desire to fix all that mellows into a heady watch.

You dared hide your intentions in their faith, so they contort you, their puppet, into a mangled image of the man you once were.

An emblem of blind faith, their newest damned being. Their beautiful creation, a monstrosity within mortals.

P.S:

I am not basing this on a religion, this is based purely on a game boss I saw on my mate's stream. This is towards no religion, at all. Dont think that it is.

Im an atheist, and don't particularly care about religion, you follow your own faith, in your own way. That's that, that's what I think.

This isn't a dig at someone's religion, it's based on a fantasy game. Just felt I needed to express this because some ppl might think it's an insult.
